LOL! how in the hell am i 'confusing' what ouma went through... which is a horrible life, with vargas's experiances? this thread is about being badass.... the bad boys of boxing, ect, this isnt about who had a rougher childhood. I dont understand this facet of people, because one person had an unbelievably horrible upbringing... nobody else can be considered to have had a bad life? 1 - your sentance of vargas hasnt had it that rough compared to others... so what? just because enduring mental and physical abuse from your stepfather for years as a kid isnt even CLOSE to as bad as oumas life, or mirandas life, is not only not the point... its just SILLY. Vargas is badass cuz 1 - He is a two time world champion (miranda cant say that, ouma cant say that) 2 - He has been a part of 2 of the best fights even in his division (ouma cant say that, miranda cant say that) 3 - You **** with him in real life and then he deals with you 4 - Hes been in and out of trouble with the law his whole life 5 - After all that, and yes... even with his ROUGH childhood, which it was... despite yes, not being as bad as oumas.. or mirandas... or the other billions kids that grow up in some of the poorest countries in the world, he still gives back to his community, does outreach programs, and personally overseas the community service his foundations do. Thats all i need.... i dont know exactly what your criteria is for being a badass... or who makes your cut for having a rough life and who doesnt, but to throw out guys like mayorga and vargas, because they didnt have as rough a life as miranda and ouma is just weird to me.

i agree about vargas, but mayorga was a legit badass in nicaragua during his early years. he dropped out of school to lead a street gang, has been in numerous managua street fights and has a lot problems legal outside the ring.
