Evander from the Bowe trilogy versus the Ike of the Tua/Byrd fights.

    Who wins and how?

    Holy weren't no Tua!

Gotta favor Holy by UD or late stoppage.

Ike had skills was not slow and had Ko power in both fists. I think he catches Holy for the win.

looked to me that ike loaded up abit too much, id favour a quicker more natural fighter in holyfield to decision Ike. but it will be close.

Evander Holyfield out hustles and takes the decision over Ike. He had the conditioning, mental fortitude, durability and skills.. I don't see a stoppage but a points win is very doable.

You say that like Ike had no conditioning! His conditioning was fantastic.

No.. Only meant that Holy had the conditioning necessary to do the job.

Holyfield wins in a war, I think. We've seen Holyfield time and time again deal with elite level opposition. Yes, he got hurt occasionally when he would exchange with punchers, but in his prime, we never saw him get stopped. Holyfield would always come back after being hurt, and that's an important tangible in this fight.

Holyfield's speed, jab, and combination punching is on a whole nother level compared to Tua. Yes, Holyfield obviously didn't hit as hard as Tua, but he was a much better fighter in every other way possible. Holy had a great chin, great stamina, great technique and could do it all at his best.

I rewatched Tua-Ibeabuchi saturday, so the fight is fresh in my mind. I continue to be impressed more and more with Ibeabuchi's performance in this fight. Simply owned Tua in every facet of boxing IMO; he outworked him, beat him up on the inside with superior combos, answered back every time Tua landed a bomb, and even jabbed his head off from the outside. Exhibited a granite chin as well.

So yeah, I pick Holyfield by decision in a helluva fight. Ibeabuchi stays in the fight because of his power, granite chin, combo punching, good defense and stamina, but I have to side with the more proven, higher level fighter, and that's Holyfield.

Holy was miles above Tua, better all around boxer, faster, taller, longer reach, better foot work, more experience against better opposition, and impossible to discourage, and Ike arguably won his fight against Tua..

Holy wins a comfortable decision against Ike he was just a better all around smarter fighter..

Why the hell do they call Ike the President?? The only Thing he was ever President of was his Prison cell in Nevada he sure as hell wasn't Prez of the Heavyweight division..
