Round Hopkins Calzaghe 1 10 8 2 10 9 Close 3 10 9 Close 4 9 10 5 9 10 6 9 10 Close 7 10 10 Close 8 9 10 Close 9 9 10 10 10 9 11 9 10 12 9 10 115-113 Calzaghe I think the low blow in round 10 benefitted Hopkinis greatly. He badly needed that break. Before that round, Hopkins was breathing heavily.
By the way, Hopkins looked damn good in that fight!!! I think he performed similar to how he did against Tarver. Hopkins is no way a shot fighter even at 43.

no way b hop won the 5th 6th calzaghe really started laying more fluent punchs calzaghe started upping work rate and was starting to impress using movement in and out!! it was all calzaghe
LOL, you cant win rounds throwing ONLY the right hand and landing it with very little frequency. I thought Hops performed exactly how he would do, Calzaghe wasn't fighting the way he should have, making it a hard nights work. Bar the first right hand KD he landed little else, as showed by Joe's face at the end. He had a cut on the bridge of the nose, nothing else. Not even any red marks. Kessler hurt him more, Joe got caught cold by a great shot, but it never hurt him. Bernard leaves things in the judges hands too much, he didn't do enough or land anything sustained to hurt JC. That's the way he fights and has done for years. As the rounds went on Calzaghe looked stronger and more confident, I think Nards will was broken hence all the complaining. It was very interesting from a tactical view as Hopkins normally is the initiator of the dirty arts, but Calzaghe showed he was almost equally adept in doing his own rough housing and frustrating Hopkins by beating him at his own game. I had the fight 115-113, Hopkins landed the single better highlight type shots, Calzaghe's volume, work rate and defense eventually did it. Hopkins rarely found the target other than holding and hitting, the right hand almost became non existent as the fight wore on. I'd like to see a rematch, I think Joe proved he can adapt and beat someone at their own game, Hopkins ran out of ideas in my view and I think a rematch would be a comfortable UD.
:rofl He landed it, but he just did not put him on his ass with it again. He hurt him plenty of times and made Calzaghe put his guard up in a defensive shell. I never seen calzaghe do that before.
Have you EVER watched him fight??? Hopkins fought well, but you guys that have him as winning need to go take a coaching or judging course.
lmao@ B hop winning the first 6 rounds on your score card!!! ...did u fall asleep after round one then wake up at the start of the 7th?..:huh
