    Easy to talk a lot of **** behind a keyboard.

    My post was simple Kelly turned his back on the guys who were there for him when he wasn't making ****, this is informational. They paid him $12,200, $650 per month, boxing expenses, car, plus endorsements. They kept him from keeping his grass cutting job, trying to help him focus on boxing. Easy for Kelly to take their money, but different for Kelly to honor his contract with them. I know both the managers and Kelly so I am not talking out of my ass like many of you. The contract states not exactly but in similar words that the contract would be in place when healthy or otherwise able to compete in scheduled bouts and it would be extended by the length of any layoff that was due to health (like an injured hand that kept you from boxing for 292 days), just watch the intro to the McKart fight and you will hear the announcers talk about young Pavlik coming off his 292 day layoff due to a hand injury. In the articles I posted earlier it talks about how they are claiming the contract ended on May 12, 2007 and Kelly WAS NOT injured is simply bull****. Read the following articles and tell me if his hand was injured which means the contract should be extended and the date it should be extended under this clause is Feb 28, 2008. They lived up to their end of the contract and so should Kelly. These guys were best friends and this is how they get treated. It is simply BS on Team Pavlik's part.

    Understand I supported Kelly on this and other boards with reckless abandon before any of you were backing him. I liked Kelly, but this is low for him to do. He signed the contract and like a man he should honor it like they did.

    I still hope he beats Jermain. But it does not excuse his actions, you usually hear about a manager screwing a fighter not the other way around. Just shows Kelly is not so wholesome as he portrays on TV. The drinking thing was brought because you may want to be careful beating any money on him. That comment came becasue I talked with an individual on Tueday who works out at the gym Kelly does. He told me that Kelly's father came in to the gym yelling that he was done dealing with Kelly and Jack could deal with him running around getting drunk with his friends on the weekend 4 weeks before a world title fight.

    Take it however you want it, but facts are facts.

    Happens all the time..once guys hit the big time they ditch the local promoters...They should be used to that ****....Its the game baby...lol...Fighters do them...I know they kept Pavlik off the day-job circuit. This is completely normal. It is just business..The small time promoters are upset that they built him up to watch another guy make the real money off of them. To quote Floyd Mayweather Sr. Boxers are like women(he said bitches) you can do all this **** for them..but they still will roll out on you for the next dude..**** that is life...:yep:good

    In my slightly informed first impression off of looking at the articles you posted, Kelly did honor his contract. Plus, his co-managers should've still turned a profit on the ordeal since Pavlik fought 10 times in that 3 year term.

    If there is specific language in the contract specifying that any time off due to injury be added to the length of the contract, it's a whole other ballgame. I can tell you that it's not a standard provision in pro sports. If an NFL player gets injured, that time isn't added on to his contract. If KP's co-managers didn't cover their ass and put it in writing in the language of the contract, they're ****ed.

    If that indeed is written in the contract, Kelly will have to pay. It's pretty open and shut, really. But understand that, short of posting the contract online so we can read it and see if you're right, ESB is going to side with the boxer.

    If there's that much of a grey area, whoever draws their contracts up needs to work on ironing out details better. No offense.

    As **** as Taylor Is, he'll probably outbox Pavlik. Spinks Is a better boxer than Taylor and would outbox Pavlik unless he found Kelly too big.

    Any world class fighter would beat Miranda.

    I'd be pissed at Pavlik too. His people brought him up, gave him the chance to get this fight, then aren't going to get a piece of that pie.

    That's friendship breaking **** right there.

    I know it's Kelly in there fighting, but he wouldn't have gotten there without the help.

    Fighters are supposed to honor there contracts.

    Promoters should do the same.His contract was up so he is in no way doing anything wrong.

    This is typical when you make it big.Someone always wants to go on the ride with you.

    So should EVERY Boxer just pay everyone that was there in the past.

    Were they not getting paid from his earlier fights?

    Just about every fighter starts out with a small time promoter and manager.Should every mainstream fighter go back and GIVE MORE MONEY to someone who already made money off of them.

    Pavlik's story is no different than just about every fighter out there.

    :hi: you are such an ass. first of all kelly did honor his contract and second if you want trouble you got it .the contract was up and scandi just wants to hang on to the nuts because bigger things are coming.. its a shame that you guys are so desperate to hang on that you have to come on here and talk trash .. all the responses you got were great and true. you are a newbie and that shows me you just came on because you need to trash kelly because you are friends with scandi and know he will lose this fight in court.. as some one else said get a life and quit whining. i know kelly personaly and all you have said is lies..and we also know who you are it was okay though when kelly did benefits for a relative of your though huh.. again your an ass and kelly does not need your support.

    Kelly probably has made that much money up to this point. His next fight will probably be for more than all his other fights combined almost, and if he beats Taylor, his next fight will probably fetch in the millions.

    His handlers up to this point probably have made very little compared to what his new promoter will make off him.
