The real question is, does Spence stand a chance against Brook, not the other way around?!

I will not favour Spence prior to GGG-Brook. But too many uncertainty coming straight from TKO loss. Spence is riding high. Plus there is a coming down in weight issue from Brook. Hard to predict what to expect really.

if that GGG-Brook videos shows us anything, its that Brook has a pure granite chin. Some of those shots he was taking would have put a horse down.

Therein lies the problem for Spence - Brook won't be going anywhere.

Honestly this is tough one to call and OP is right on all counts.. from what I have seen from Spence to date though is he looks like he is the future of the division, maybe in two years from now. His technique is going to be difficult for any fighter, Brook included. Maybe Brook is a step up to far for now, we will have to see.. really mouthwatering fight.

 

Paulie summed it up in one of his recent interviews.

Spence is used to getting the desired reaction when he lands his big shots.But how will he react when those big shots don't have the same effect, and how will he react when he is made to miss and is hit with hard fast counters ?

Brook does not clip opponents with his counters, when he slips a shot and throws his own they are fast stinging shots.

Personally i believe Spence's over confidence will be his undoing.

 

I dont know if he can beat Brook on the road but IMO Spence is the truth.
This is a legit fight between two Top 5 WW's.
I will be rooting hard for Spence jr.

 

The 2 big question marks are how well will Brook's face hold up when gets punched by a strong WW like Spence, and on the flipside how will Spence do in fight of this magnitude with 20,000 plus people booing against him? I'm also curious to see how well he'll be able to take Brook's shots as Kell is a strong WW in his own right.

Awesome fight and IMO the winner of this match is the man to beat at WW. I think both men could beat either Thurman or Garcia so for me this is the fight that will solidify the pecking order at 147 lbs.

I just have this strong feeling that we haven't seen the best of Spence yet and I do believe this will be his coming out party. Knockout or late ref stoppage isn't completely out of the realm of possibilities.

GGG would have dropped Brook in the very next round, he was beating him up.
But Spence is facing 147 Brook, not 160, so he could drop him.

 

Brook has only one win over a top welter, that's Porter, a very sloppy fighter who still landed his jab on Brook all night. Brook's power is not impressive and neither is his defense. The rest of Brook's resume is pitiful.

Spence is bigger, longer, has the southpaw advantage, has power and is a great finisher. He also has two excellent ww KO's on his resume. He's got the tools and the desire to beat Brook.

You can ride on Brook's bandwagon all you want, and I see the Brook fans have their excuses all lined up already, but Brook's going to be in big trouble come May 27th.

 

Ofcourse he does. He is going to dominate this division until he moves up in weight and then prob dominate that one too. He is brilliant to watch, he is the real deal. Brook is also the real deal, im just not sure who is the realiest dealiest of the 2. Which we will soon find out. This is the fight between the 2 very best Welterweights in the world right now unless Floyd wants to come back.

Gut feeling is Brook just has a little too much for Spence. I think this fight has 12 rounds stamped all over it to a close but fair points win to the Brit. But it will be close. Very close. I cant wait for this fight. As far as im concerned this is the biggest signed fight of the year so far and will struggle to be topped. Wont be the most exciting cuz both will be well aware how much of a threat the other one is. Chess match, cant wait.

And as a British Brook fan but mostly a Boxing fan, i hope the judges dont screw Spence, may the best man win.

 

If Spence KO's Brook we'll hear two things: 1) Spence is on peds and his nipples are proof and 2) Brook is damaged goods.

A lot of people won't give Spence credit. I got Brook by hard fought decision.

 

It's 50/50. Thinking spence has more natural ability but Brooke is more proven.
