The real question... When Paul whips Canelo, will people give HIM credit?

Everyone talking as if this fight is a foregone conclusion. Paul is an OK name on his resume. He's shot to **** and doesn't deserve the fight.

Well, first of all, I will be surprised if they even let Canelo take this fight. He doesn't have the pop to put Paul out, and he doesn't have the workrate. He's got good skill, and is really a good fighter. But to act as if this fight is a guaranteed win for Canelo might be very detrimental to some people's pockets in Vegas come fight night. Win or lose, this will be a tough outing for Canelo.

If Paul wins this fight, I don't want to hear **** about what he doesn't deserve, or what he "brings to the table." And don't catch ****ing amnesia about how everyone knew this or that.

    Just sayin...

By the way. If he wins this fight, what will Cotto's excuse be this time? :D

Of course, I pick him to beat canelo as well, people are underestimating him because he lost to two south paws.

Paul is not the same guy we saw school Margarito. BUT i think he has enough left to give Canelo more than he can handle. that work rate will take canelo by surprise.

If Williams wins, he'll have beaten a very good, young, fighter who really hasn't beaten ANYONE of note, especially not anyone ranked in the top 5 at JrMW.

If Canelo wins, that says more about Williams then Canelo IMHO. This isn't Williams from a few years ago when he was atop his game.

It's a crossroads fight for Williams, and a decent step up for Alvarez.

It would be a big upset. Canelo's legit, which is why we want to see him tested. People expect him to pass the test and want to see a great career develop.

I will give PWill tons of credit IF he does the job.

I'd rather see PW and Quintana go a 3rd time, then the winner to take on Canelo.

Yes, he'll get credit. But he's too open and easy to hit. Canelo will grind him down and stop him late.

For the record, I do think it'll be a good win if Paul gets it. I'm not sure it'll mean he's back or anything, but it will lead to bigger and better, and probably give him a confidence boost.

I see this as a 50-50 fight. I like Alvarez, but been a P will fan longer. Hope he pulls it off. :deal

    Paul is ungrindable.

Either you catch him with a clear punch and put his lights out (only happened once) or you outbox him (happened twice). Other than that, you will get punched on for every minute of each of the twelve rounds.

If Canelo can outbox him, then all credit goes to him. Other than that, I don't see a stoppage.

Add the fact that Williams dominates orthodox fighters undeniably and it is indeed a tough fight for Canelo. I wouldn't give Williams a whole lot of credit if he wins, but his career will definitely be boosted.

I think both fighters should get credit for the win. Williams is very open to hit, but I don't think Canelo has the pop to stop him. Canelo is gaining a very big following and a win for Williams would mean he's 'back' in the eyes of most, even if it's not true. Meanwhile if Canelo wins he'll have beaten a fighter that a lot still don't want to get in the ring with. Good win for either fighter.

This fight BLOWS! Prime Williams would beat Canelo but he's shot to **** and it's not a good PPV fight! **** that... Bring on Kirkland... atleast he's dangerous!
