The real question... When Paul whips Canelo, will people give HIM credit?

Canelo's defense improves more and more everytime I see him fight, Williams is still an inaccurate workrate fighter. Canelo will land a lot of clean shots but Williams workrate will maintain no matter what. It will be one of those tough to score fights but since Canelo is the star he will get the nod.

 

I don't think Williams chin is much better than Baldomir and Mosley, Canelo by late ko in a tough fight.

 

Canelo is a low volume puncher who uses a high guard. Might as well be Pwill vs winky again. Saul has better power than winky but less defense and boxing skills. I see Pwill having a very easy decision win.

What troubles Pwill is the over hand left from a southpaw Saul is made for Pwill. Full credit if Saul makes this fight. I don't believe this fight happens.

 

Canelo isn't really a come forward guy, I mean he does push forward but he'll step away and to the sides and get on his toes at time. But he's not someone I'll label a "come forward guy." When I here that term I think more of Angulo, Kirkland, Margo, ...etc

Williams has lost something and is not the same fighter from years back. He looked terrible against Ishida even though we clearly won. I would not be surprised if Paul gets stopped by Canelo in the Championship rounds. Despite my Mexican heritage, I'm a big critic of Canelo, but the kid is improving with everyfight. On the other hand Paul is looking like he's losing something like his timing his accuracy, in every fight.

Oh yeah, If Paul beats Canelo, I'll give him credit.

I don't know about tailor made, but with Canelo's low work rate I can see where you're coming from.

yup, a way more dangerous fight than that glass jawed bum Kirkland who's proven he can't deal with power, strength or boxing ability.

Gotta laugh at morons who think Kirkland is more deserving when Williams just beat the **** out of Kirklands daddy and shut him out. kirkland's coming off an embarassing schooling where he got bullied by Molina and a brutal KO at the hands of featherfisted Ishida....He was also almost out in rd 1 vs slow motion Angulo. Canelo would ****ing kill him in 2 rounds, it wouldn't be competitive.

Williams on the other hand presents a big challenge with his high workrate, unbreakable will to win at all costs, great chin and awkward style.....also not to mention the only times in his career where he hasn't impressed has been vs slick southpaws..... Williams is undefeated vs orthodox fighters. He looked bad vs Martinez and Lara but right after he fights kirklands daddy who's an orthodox fighter and he won every round and whupped his ass withease!!! Canelo ain't too slick and he ain't a southpaw. Williams is a very live underdog!! I'm putting money on him fosho. GBP are crazy for making this fight, there are bigger names that would be a much easier fight. This is a serious step up and full credit to canelo if he wins. The only more difficult fights at 154 would be Lara/Cotto.

 

Kirkland is tailor-made for Canelo. PW is the more dangerous fight.

 

I hate Paul Williams with all my heart. He fights like a complete idiot by bringing his head down.

 

Williams owns all the judges, no judge will ever score against him, but Alvarez will knock him out!
