why won't cotto fight ggg? ...can somebody tell what's going on here?

i created this thread for esb posters to speculate about the reason for this.

why isn't anybody asking cotto how come he won't sign to fight ggg?

as a fight fan it's annoying to hear schit like "the commission doesn't dictate who i fight"....if that's the case, why fight for the commission's title belts? make up your own title belt... see if people care.

if the commission says ggg is the mandatory, cotto should fight ggg. that's all there is to it.

why hasn't cotto accepted the commission's decision?

iif fmj refused to fight his mandatory he would be crucified.

    what is wrong with cotto?

dudes are just blatantly calling cotto a coward....and to be honest, on the surface it certainly looks like cotto is scared.

but the thing is, i can't imagine any championship caliber fighter being scared of ggg.... ggg is an overhyped guy who has yet to face an opponent with a pulse. if i was cotto, i would be watching the murray and stevens fight and salivating at the thought of getting in there with ggg and introducing ggg to what world class boxing really is.

i've never been a cotto fan, but i think he can beat ggg...it's kinda disappointing cotto doesn't seem to want the fight. if cotto really feels that way, maybe it's time for him to retire.

As I mentioned before Cotto has maybe 3 big money fights in him, maybe 2.... He is at the tail end of his great career, so he can be selective...his resume clearly shows while in his prime he didn't ducked anyone...so I for one will give him a pass on GGG:blood
    I think he earned it!

I give cotto litterally no chance against GGG, but as a GGG hater and black supremacist can you tell me why quillin,n'dam or canelo won't fight GGG??

He looks amazing so far but he has not really been tested at the very highest level. He looked very good against Murray who is a solid top 10 MW. I think GGG will beat elite fighters when he actually gets in the ring with them (or they get in the ring with GGG). At this stage in GGG's professional career, he is a solid champion with potential to become a great champion. A lot of people on here talk about him as if he has already become great.

Murray is far more than a solid top 10 MW. There's not another MW in the sport who would have beaten him that night

In this day and age of rampant ducking.... you have to go with what you see a lot more than in the past

The guy is just on another level. For once, the hype is justified

Because has less riskier options that he'll get paid more for taking. Like Canelo, and we know he didn't duck Canelo.

Cotto knows Golovkin could potentially be a career ending beating and he also knows he must make as much money as he now as his time in the sport making good money is very limited , but ffs cotto your supposed to be a warrior so do what proper champions do and fight the top contender/ other champion already

Ummm......what's with this about face and siding with GGG fans?
Is this some sort of trick? Just last week, you were saying Cotto
would school GGG but that he wasn't obligated to face him. Now,
    this?
