I'm no psychologist, but I think this is clearly his problem and I will explain why.

For most of his adult life Floyd has embraced and only shown 'The Dawg' side of his personality. It is only recently that 'The Gorilla' has surfaced and forced itself to become the dominant personality in the mind of Floyd Money Mayweather.

For all the years as 'The Dawg', Floyd was an obedient worker and loved to please his masters. He worked hard for treats and rewards and loved nothing more than to be praised and petted by his owners. Like most dawgs, despite his caring side Floyd was also confident, assured and brave - but never viscious, nasty or overly aggressive.

But, as we all know dawgs can be very jealous of the attention and treats received by others. This ultimately became his downfall. Jealousy gave the supressed Gorilla personality the chance to take over the brain of Money May.

Now, as the Gorilla Floyd is unmanageable. He doesn't have the urge to run around and play like he used to as the dog, he justs wants to lounge on his tyre, act violently to anyone who comes near him and throw **** around.

That's my two cents, but as I've already said, I'm no psychologist. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

All joking aside: I just spent hours taking a parenting class (court ordered) with my psychotic ex-wife. The course was about shielding children from confilct. the #1 damaging effect of children exposed and forced to cope with conflict is something called: PSYCHOLOGICAL SPLITTING: For a little more on it read here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splitting_(psychology)

I think people should take a real close look at the REAL issues before you throw a fellow human being under the bus.

To suggest that Floyd is any sort of complicated character (as most people with split personalities are) is ridiculous. He is about as one dimensional as they come. He's a gutter trash thug, plain and simple. He beats women and talks the **** that he talks because he's ghetto. Plain and simple.

As long as he remains unbeaten, he can pretend that he is perfect, that he is the best of all time. He will ensure he never jeopardises his "0" by only fighting guys he thinks he has a very high chance of beating.

To his defence, many of the professional choices he made in the last few years were rational. Given the state of his hands, he has to limit the number of fights he signs up for and he has to take long breaks between them. By making himself a scarce commodity, given that he is considered one of the best fighters in the world and one of the biggest draws, he maximises profits, which as a prizefighter he should be looking to do.

However, I can't help but feel that your theory is full of pretentious psychological mumbo jumbo, as well as being very far fetched. I think you have watched too many movies which have prevented you from using the logic, reasoning and understanding of the human brain that I applied to help construct my Gorilla/Dawg theory. Instead you have brought into 'Hollywood' portrayal of pschology and that's where your theory falls down in my book.

I have based my analysis around the clear Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde template, whereas you seem to have gotten all 'Hollywood' and dragged in unrelated issues such as upbringing, social status and emotional maturity. It's a shame, because I can't really fault your effort. Perhaps you're just not really cut out for this.
