Barret was 37 Valuev was 36 Ruiz was 38 Audley was 39 Wlad is still 34! He's still a year or two too young. You can stop fretting, Haye-Wlad Klit will happen in 2012, 2013 at the latest. Feel sorry for poor Chagaev though. He is only 32. There is a good chance he'll die from his Hep B before he gets his mandatory
As I now understand it, the real reason is that Haye won't have time from his required Chagaev fight to prepare for a July fight with Wlad. And that, I can understand. Chances are, Chagaev will be a tough fight for Haye (assuming Chag gets a bit of his old self back), and about 5 weeks from one fight to the next is not really enough. So I retract my original view that Haye was merely ducking the Wlad fight. Its due to the dates, and Haye not having enough time to prepare, from May to July 2nd. But I can also understand Wlad not wanting to sit idle til July, either, seeing as how his last fight was in September........10 months. I'd also rather fight Chisora, and then Adamek, rather than sit and wait on Haye, who has a hisstory of not going through with the fights he has signed.
The fight will happen, neither is truly scared of the other, people will just percieve their preferred opponent to be intimidating the other, but it is not the case.
