    A few of us said it on the Brit section before more or less. Ironically enough it was actually one T.Hayers who tried to downplay it, claiming that forums were too old school essentially compared to other forms of social media. True dit.

    I’m a Haye fan which may be a little hard to reconcile with my support of Tyson but whenever people lay into Haye I always remind them that Haye donated 10% of all ticket sales for his fight with Gjerjaj to Nick Blackwell when he was recovering from the Eubank fight. That was a six figure donation. More than what any single boxing personality donated as far as I know.

    But yeah people constantly lay into him for being “money-hungry”... That may be true but Haye has no connection to Blackwell and still made that donation.

    In Korea at least, combat sports are really big. Many kids do taekwondo, my niece does it. My wife's mum watches kickboxing (mostly from Japan) on TV quite a bit. I get the impression that they've only recently seen boxing and like it.

    South Koreans are getting bigger quick too, mainly due to a changed diet.

    What I think would be good for boxing as a whole is if not just top stars could make money from odd fights in East Asia, but also deserving journeymen and second tier fighters could get some nice paydays by fighting in China and elsewhere.

    Forums are absolutely essential now for marketing, pushing agendas and propoganda, judging hardcore fans reactions to potential fights etc

    It is a massive tool employed by all boxers and promoters

    Life had humbled haye by then.

    He had lost everything in Dubai, he had finally found an elevated consciousness and is now a better person

    I feel haye knew he couldn’t pull it off, not because of ability, but because he was wrecked physically.

    He thought he had made smart investments and didn’t need the fight
