i agree but i think the JC now would still win against pavlik but he would get hit to often and put down atleast once but would win it on a UD but it would be a huge risk but i think he should take that risk.. If he loses then people will just scream he was a hype job and vastly over rated but you have to think that he is not in his prime anymore and no spring chicken

One more reason I forgot: Calzaghe knows that Pavlik isn't Hopkins: he is a loved guy, the face and future of HBO for years to come. Therefore, no way Calzaghe gets the decision in the states unless he wins 8 rounds clearly, which based on his last fight I don't think he can do anymore against a tireless active fighter like Pavlik.
