A Mexican champion or a PR champion is worth more financially than a Cuban champion. Its disgusting politics at its worst.

yeah that ethnic following is what bob cares about, but i tell you what gamboa will carry a more and more diverse following as he moves up the ranks with his performances. the gamboa-solis crowd was extremely diverse and everyone was showing love to gamboa, i was there. dan rafael said that the crowd was there to support diaz and kennedy bs, there was no noise until the gamboa entrance

It might be diverse but it will still be small unfortunately.

Arum needs to realize that when you have a kid like Gamboa, the fans will follow. I sat my friends down and made them watch a 30 second fight of his, and they dont watch boxing regularly. Since then they havent missed a gamboa fight. Give the guy a few high profile competitive fights and a proper marketing strategy and he could easily be the next cash cow. He has that super athleticism with the competitiveness to match. I know its far too premature to say for sure, but I wouldn't be shocked if gamboa became an ATG in the next 5 or so years.

Old Man Arum is the most despicable P.O.S in boxing history. Blinky Palermo would take more risk with his fighters than this crook. The Fact that in this instance he **** all over Gamboa- his own fighter is just another notch in his schiesy history of screwing over fighters and fight fans for the most possible $$ for himself. Lazy ass Garcia doesn't deserve a title if he's unwilling to face the legit champ for it.

I wish someone would just pop a few bullets in Arum already, can't beleive it hasn't happened already considering how many lives he's ruined over greed.

It is sad, but if that's the most disgusting thing you have seen in boxing, let me introduce you to......(drumroll please)............Ahmet Oener. In particular, Oener's involvement in one of Danny Williams' fights.
