Josh King is matched with Olarte for the Aussie jnr Welter title up in Townsville on Nov 5....I reckon this match up has got the makings of a epic encounter....both in red hot form....Olarte would be the biggest snag in Aussie boxing.

Its a miss match, i guess Xmas is coming early for Josh because its going to be nothing short of a gift. Whats gone wrong with Aussie boxing where you used to have to fight the best in the country in order to win the Aussie title belt. Ive seen quite a few Aus title opponents that shouldnt have been in there but was done so in order to ensure the home town boy got the win. One guy for example lost his last 7 fights and got an Aussie title shot against the home town boy? Hows this possible? I guess its like the old saying goes, its not what you know but who you know applies to boxing.

Dibb hits like a girl, if Dibb knocked this guy out Josh is going to put him on a stretcher.

It is a decent fight but darksides rhetoric makes it appear as hagler v hearns.

King is moving along well. Anton is anton.

haha....sorry fellas I was pretty pumped up....
...but seriously I really rate Olarte...I saw him against Ben Rahah and was impressed by his determination and his pressure...he's the taxi driver who's thought....'**** this....I can be as good as there blokes'...he's fought the who's who and you don't fight that caliber of fighters without pickin' up a trick or two....I just reckon it's a great match of styles and as much power as Josh has got I'd bet that Orlarte will stay the distance...

    Lol, no probs mate.

Anton is going well, probably since he got married here and got residency. Gave him a lift i think.

But his first extinct is to run. He could do much better if he believed in himself more and didnt get intimidated by the other guys power.

i agree - he'll fight anyone and at any weight from 130-147. and every 8weeks to boot. he's a classic
he's got no hope here. but he'll have a crack.

as for the dib fight? weight drained i reckon.

Josh King and Ray Anton Olarte turned it on for the crowd up in Townsville last night with Josh victorious in a classic.
Josh got home in a unanamous decision over the game Olarte despite a couple of knockdowns and a stray thumb in the eye...the boys went at it hammer and tong but Josh's power and body shots proved the difference....great fight.

....many are already suggesting this fight is a candidate for fight of the year....
...much credit goes to Josh for upping the ante....despite sweating of 3 and a 1/2 kgs on the night of the weigh in....massive effort in anyones book.

...I wouldn't say he even went close to being beat mate...despite the knockdowns (the 1st one was ruled a slip)
Josh was always in front really...Rey Anton stuck it too him and kept it interesting...but Josh was to strong for him.
If Josh learns from his little scare with the scales....we might find he's got another gear...you can't lose that much weight without it taking something out of you.
