    His resume got better.

just think, Hatton beat Malignaggi worse than Cotto did.

This improves Clinton Mitchell's legacy. Mitchell beat Bernard Hopkins who beat Winky Wright who twice beat Shane Mosley who beat Luis Collazo who arguably beat Ricky Hatton.

If Mayweather was a big welterweight like Margarito or Williams, then I'd say the weight made a difference against the 140 lb. Hatton.

Mayweather is a small to average sized welter. The size difference didn't mean much. I bet Hatton outweighed Mayweather on fight night.

Mayweather kicks Hatton's ass at any weight, he's just the better fighter.

    o really?

Considering Hatton weighs 152-154 on fight at a Jr WW.... and guess what he weighed 154 against Mayweather.... not the 160 he weighed against Collazo.

LOL Quality post. I never did stand for these A beat B, B beat C analogies and this is the perfect way of showing why.

Another example I like to throw at people:

Hopkins beat Tarver, Tarver beat RJJ, RJJ beat Hopkins.... say what.

your high. my man LITERALLY broke the magic man's face. Cotto slowed the onslaught after he realized it.

i agree. hatton handled paulie easier than cotto did. No doubt cotto did more damage but paulie could at least punch and shin every once in a while.
