Are you for ****in real? :patsch Sure "technically" it was a stoppage, but Paulie was no way CLOSE to being stopped physically. If anyone failed it was your lame attempt to be intelligent.

Thats what I'm saying. He wasn't even about to get KO'd. Yeah he was taking some good shots, but he wasn't about to die or falling all over the place like Bute. His team figured lets just throw in the towel before something bad does happen.

Mayweather is the real winner because he probably out money 40K on Hatton to win.

Precisely. Was a mercy stoppage by his corner. Paulie can take some punishment, as seen in his fight w/ Cotto. Dude's got a chin, that's for sure. But he had no hope in a win at that point (sorta like the Kirkland - Vera fight before). Both guys needed a hail mary to win, and it was pretty obvious it wasn't going to come. Live to fight another day.

 Wouldn't be surprised. He maybe dropped a dime on Paulie just to be safe. :D

Yep. Basically. But like I said, a team should talk about these kind of things before a fight, whether or not to let the fighter finish or just call it quits when theres no hope & just fight another day. A fighter wants to save his record & keep his pride, but at the same time the ppl around him have to keep his health good.

I enjoy a donnybrook as much as the next guy, but more so if the fights close.

I must say, it's a good thing Paulie has no power, as he was landing that left hook quite a bit on the fat man.

Yeah. If Paulie had some power, Hatton would've respected Paulie a little more.

:D :D :D . Only reason I gotta say yeah is because you know his money comes before ANYTHING.

Holy crap we agree on something. I was pressing on that a lot last night, that Hatton is wide open to that hook everytime he steps in. Floyd and Paulie hit him with it cleanly all the time.

Unfortunately he's still open to it. Mayweather Sr. better adjust that.
