Mario Lopez from the 3 knockdown rule hits the nail on the head with complete common sense here.

Crawford is older than canelo and he moved up 2 weights. The excuses and the cope are hilarious to watch but expected.

And they're using some fuzzy math, to boot. Canelo-GGG was less than 9 years ago.

Are you saying that Mario Lopez doesn't know what he is talking about?

All due respect, but your response here comes across as nothing more than a goal post shifting appeal to authority. What did Pimp say that was incorrect?

Bruh shut up. No matter how you slice it Canelo was undefeated at 168. Crawford won his first world title over a decade ago and is 3 years older than Canelo. Canelo is still world class even if he was on the decline

He has told me before that journalists and media know more about boxing than us guys on here.
I was wondering if he doesn't count Mario Lopez who has been around boxing for as long as I can remember.

Clenelo had a lot more fights, a 20 year pro career to an 18 year one, fought over double the amount of rounds, fought much better opposition, had a lot more tough fights, fought a lot more punchers, and unlike Crawford has fought many guys bigger than him

It was an excellent win and Crawford is a great fighter but Clenelo has way more miles on his clock and it clearly shows too.

I think going into the fight Clenelo had boxed 520 rounds to Crawford's 245

Well I think he is incorrect because I don't think that pointing out that Canelo looked tired and old as Mario Lopez did is an excuse or incorrect. I think that Mario is on the money here and for it to be dismissed as cope is ignorant.

Did you read any of the comments on the video you posted? Seems a lot of people agreed with Pimp on the excuse making angle of the content, and I hardly think that's an unreasonable interpretation of his presentation there.

Canelo was undefeated at 168, Canelo was the reigning undisputed super middleweight king, Canelo is younger than Crawford, the large majority of Canelo's career happened north of 147 (compared to Bud's lone fight north of 147 going in), and Canelo was the betting favorite going in. These were all reasons I thought Canelo would win, but I was (obviously) completely wrong. And honestly, Canelo didn't really look any different against Bud than he did since the loss to Bivol. He effectively looked like the same fighter to me (from GGG3 through Scull). In other words, I thought Canelo put forth a very strong effort, he was just in against a superior operator.

Now I'm not necessarily saying that creator of the video was making an excuse here. But I think the key difference between Canelo's fight with Bud, and his previous 6 fights - seems clear to me that Bud was simply better than anyone Canelo faced since Bivol, and it showed (much to my surprise).

Sure, fighters age differently, no doubt.

But the deck was still clearly stacked in favor Canelo going in on a multitude of fronts. I personally don't think there's another active fighter out there south of 175 who beats Canelo as decisively as Bud did (if there are any at all).
