The reality of Crawford's victory over Canelo explained in one minute

Canelo has a ton of wear and tear on him. 67 recorded pro fights, at least 10 more non-recorded pro fights as per his manager, and god knows how many gym wars. I’d bet all his joints and ligaments look like ass on an MRI.

But here, I think Bud was just that good. The only time I can really recall someone’s reach advantage really being an advantage over Canelo, in the past it never mattered and he could close anyway. Here, every time he tried, Crawford made him pay for it.

 

Im saying he's an excuse maker. Im sure he picked canelo to win and when he didnt deliver he made an excuse and tried to discredit and downplay Crawford's win. Mario wasnt saying any of this stuff before the fight now was he?

 

Looks like the excuses was always going to be on the table should Canelo lose but the truth is that Crawford was still the one moving up and the older fighter of the two no matter how you slice it. People were willing to not give Canelo credit should he win and now that the results turned out differently people are now not giving Crawford full credit for winning. You really can't please anyone no matter what the results ended up being.

Crawford deserves all the praise for beating Canelo who was never beaten at 168 and there should be no excuses to take away from that victory period.

I picked Canelo as well, and Canelo did look old in my opinion

 

Because Crawford took his jab away and his footwork was top notch. Canelo looked the exact same as he was against Charlo who he dominated. They weren't intimidated because they felt the power of Canelo and aren't as good as Crawford. We saw Munguia brawl it out with Canelo, he wasn't scared, already a world champion and undefeated. Canelo taxed him

Fury was not in his prime. He didn't get off the couch to beat Wilder, he had multiple tune ups because he had to lose over 100 pounds after abusing drugs for 2 years. Prime Fury was in the rear view mirror way before he fought Usyk

Larger fighters aging better is not tried and true. It's only marginally true. Lara is 41 and still a world champion. Beterbiev beat Bivol at 39 years and 8 months old. Briedis gave Opetaia hell twice in his late 30s. Pacquiao beat Thurman at 40. Crawford just beat Canelo at 38. Hopkins was beating ranked guys in his 40s. Duran was 37 against Barkley. Lucas Browne beat no top guys lmao why would you even mention that. Maybe heavyweights seem to age better because lower weight classes will have a higher talent pool most of the time

Interesting you cite Wilder who is largely unproven against the world class and only beat 1 ranked contender in his entire career. That's how overrated Fury's resume is.

 

I predicted it would be so easy people would say canelo took the money and let him win. In what world did anybody think that manufactured bum could beat a real fighter?
