Get **** out of here with that about mexicans being cheats. Wasn't the biggest cheat ever in boxing puerto rican? Ruesto or something like that? That doesnt make tito a cheat or any other rican. And if im not mistaken, chavez would sometimes take off his wraps while still in the ring. A little too careless if he indeed was cheating.

And you are making an assumption over a beating. Didnt cotto beat the ****ing living crap out of paulie, like no one else has since? Oh so cotto is a cheat then, right...

 

See its this kind of **** coming from the ricans that makes you root for the opposite. This was about danny and lucas, yet you find a way to diss a whole different group of people. I actually wanted danny to win, now... not so much.

Angel's a dick, simple as that. He's like this for every fight; it's got nothing to do with the fans cheering Matthysse, the big stage etc - he's just a dick.

Its all business. GBP puts Matthyse with garcia knowing that there is very good chance lucas will put an end to Garcia. GBP will then have an Argentinean champion who will in tirn hopefully muster up the support of his country.Nobody in America really gave a **** about Garcia and Angel is mad that Danny never got the support which could have potentially increased his purses. Angel is mad because he wishes they could have ridden that train a bit longer and is really mad at GBP but cant publicly say it.

The realisation of what is about to happen to his son is beginning to sink in.
I completely understand Angel standing by his son, what parent wouldn't, but that doesn't give Angel the right to act like a *****, to call his opponents bums etc etc.
He makes constant references to God, yet he comes across as a hateful, spitefull, individual, not very Christian imo.
In one breath he calls himself a Latino, then he's an American, what is it to be ?
And why all the racist **** ?
Danny seems to be a decent humble kid when he's not around his father, and whether his father is his trainer or not, he has way too much to say. I have followed the sport for nearly 40 years, and i don't remember a trainer who took so much of the limelight.
If i were Danny i'd find his fathers antics embarrassing, at 25 he should be his own man, yet he's constantly in his fathers shadow.
Angel is obviously living his life through his son.
Danny will eat some big shots in the early rounds, instead of boxing and using his brain he will try and trade with Matthysse, and will either be KO'd or suffer an awful beating which will lead to a TKO, Angel will then have to decide if he is man enough to do whats right, and throw the towel in.
I'm convinced Danny will be stopped around the midway point, i await Angels post fight comments with baited breath.

 

And what's even worse is it's mostly HIS fault. Gobby little ****er.

Are Puerto Ricans alone in being ‘emotional’? I’ve met a few Argentinians and they’re emotional as they come, very patriotic, very outspoken, but still they’re extremely respectful. You don’t see Matthysse’s camp abusing and slandering Puerto Ricans.

Angel seems to have a problem with every race under the sun. Do you really think that the average Mexican will support his son when he probably will say some xenophobic stuff about them, too? Every time he gets on the mic, he’s always blasting on about race/nationality, and his act has gone stale. The guy is desperate for attention, and in the process he unfortunately gets people to hate on his son.

 

I think part of it is to distract attention away from Danny: let Angel do all the talking and headline grabbing and let Danny concentrate on the fight. Also it's motivation for the fight, building Danny as the unfairly treated underdog not getting the credit he deserves. Which is quite smart. Also his antics sell fights or at least increase interest in them.

But most likely, Angel is just a racist loudmouth with a screw lose. And I think they may be underestimating Matthysse which is a mistake.

 

You could have a point, but Angel just doesn't seem able to control his emotions/mouth, he also seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder, so i'm inclined to go with the last part of your post.
I just don't think Angel is inteligent enough to use his brain/mouth to take the heat away from Danny.

 

Angel Garcia is an ass clown and is the main reason danny doesnt have fans like he is supposed to. its not the Angel Show....no one gives a s h i t what he says or thinks....

 

It'a all business that's true, but argentina does not reprsent a potencial market for ppv. Belive it or not, Matthysse sells better in the us tan Garcia. Thats the reason and thats why gbp is putting his money on Matthysse and thats why angel is on fire.
