Haye didnt go to the presser because he was swimming. He decided to stay away as he didnt want any distractions for George but he willl be in his corner Saturday.

Also word from inside the Haye camp is they are super confident Groves can pull a win off.

Apparantly Groves was told to keep his cool before the press conference and not get innvolved in DeGale's mind games (obviously that didnt work)

As for fight tactics they have told George not to rush DeGale as that is what he wants. They are trying to knock the emotion out of the fight so Groves can box with a clear mind.

The plan is to box smart, behind the jab for the first few rounds, stepping it up later.

They feel if Groves can execute the gameplan they can win no problem.

Its not great info, but thats what ive been told the word is from inside the camp.

No one dropped him I don't think, he took a knee against Froch and Dirrell I believe. Aston just punched his eye. DeGale would've been beaten up by Carl and Andre so he's just being a Dick

I dont know about who dropped who and dont really care as its sparring.

Dirrell came out of his first sparring session with Groves sporting a black eye so it doesnt mean ****.... The fact that Groves has cuts and bruises means he has been having some proper solid sparring... You cant say the same for DeGale

Froch confirmed this in an interview... He also said there was allot of England amatures there who witnessed it to. Makes DeGale sound like a ***** when you have Froch rubbishing his claims.

DeGale has been sparring Cleverly. Groves, Dirrell. A huge gulf between those 2. If Groves held his own as well as we are lead to believe, then he has a great shot

He's been sparring Clev and Barker and hardly doubt he's not sparring hard mate when Jim Mac is his coach....

To many Groves fans and DeGale haters are hoping and wishing for things like lack of prep etc.

I didnt know he'd been sparring with Barker... Im not sure the benefit of sparring with Cleverley. His style is pretty different to Groves.

You have to admit that the Groves camp are far more grounded. They are open about his weaknesses and understand the improvements they need to make. Sparring with Dirrell was a very good move as he is basically a better version of DeGale. You cant knock their prep.

I have always fancied Groves to win this fight. Im not as confident as i was before the press conference but i have backed Groves to win this fight for years. I wont be changing now
