Maidana looped that longer plus fell onto Khan with it, but are we talking about Khan getting KD because this rocked him but did not even floor him, not only that he took another 2mins of pure beating without going down, Khan's chin is fine, its his lack of defence and awareness which is the main problem, something Hunter is addressing.

This is my analysis too. I mean there's only so much ****ing punishment any human can take. I also think about a guy like Rios who really takes punches head on and wonder how long that will last. There's a reason you don't see fighters spar all the time. It's to prevent long term injury.

This is why the name of the game is 'protect yourself at all times' 'to hit and not get hit'. Tried and true.

the very first shot that got khans attention and made him back up, was a left hook by molina and in the very first round.

khan´s fans simply wont accept, that he isnt a perfect fighter, they rely on the fact that khan was faster and therefore he just needs to stay outside and jab garcia to death.

if boxing was that simple and easy, you gotta wonder why dirrell isnt leading the pack at 168. It makes you wonder how a slow fighter like margarito even got to fight for world championships. If only boxing was that simple, i would be a rich man and making millions on betting.

What these guys forget, is that boxing is filled with fighters who were fast, but still werent elite, getting to elite level is demanding and you gotta have the whole package, khan does not. He is a very good fighter and actually an exciting fighter.

The reason why I keep bringing up Maidana is because that punch, despite not knocking him down, was clearly more successful than the other punches that were landing. It hit the necessary spot to get the result (Khan hurt) he was aiming for. This example somewhat challenges your notion of: if a punch didn't hurt him the first few times, then it must have been luck for it to hurt him in the last attempt.

And it's funny you can justify Maidana's punch hurting Khan because "Maidana looped that longer plus fell onto Khan with it", but completely dismiss Garcia's hook despite his being:
    • thrown earlier on when he was not tired (unlike Maidana)
    • thrown whilst Khan was rushing in (increasing the force of the impact)
    • a counter punch (making it more dangerous)
    • swung at full force with feet both feet planted
But nah, none of that means anything does it, Darni . Because it was the neck that did it :nut.

I am not taking nothing away from the Garcia shot, all i am saying it landed on the neck and i feel that added to the effect of the punch and Khan being badly hurt by it.

Fact remains it took a well timed neck shot after 4 years of fighting after Prescott for Khan to go down, first time at 140 and it was not on the chin

BTW Maidana landed big shots on Khan chin grom the 1st round again with no effect full power shots in the early part of the fight too, not just the 10th round beating.

I honestly think that Garcia fight could be the best thing to happen to Khan if he learns from it.
The **** he was coming out with after the Maidana fight was hilarious "I have a great chin" ETC..
He has a serviceable chin, nothing more nothing less.

For khan to beat Garcia he's gonna have to be smart.

great thing about elite fighters is that they can land that one BOMB it takes to change the fight.

    LEFT HOOK GOES KHAN

    like music to my ears.

yes i did indeed mean a boxer always beats a puncher.I apologise.

I genuinely believe khan is the superior fighter in every department similar to the lewis fight.

Khan was absolutely showing this before got hit with a huge shot.

Certainly not trolling.Just showing that the original statement of garcia wins ten out of ten times is absurd considering when bookmakers price this fight up khan will certainly be favourite and surely around the price that i displayed in orginal post.

Not saying khan would definately win as we know he has tendancy to get hit but no way he gets outboxed in a smart mans fight.

I cant see the rematch happening garcia surely knows this better than me.

Not a huge fan of either fighter so cant say i favour khan through being a patriot as im sure you know the guy probably gets more stick in engalnd than does anywhere else.

Word, I hope Virgil has some drills for him. I'd make him shadowbox throwing just one arm while keeping the other glued to his head, hell, maybe even spar some jab-only rounds like that. On the mitts or with the foam pool thingies I'd have him throw 1, block; 1-2 block; 1-2-3 block; 1-2-3-4 block, etc. Then mix those up with different counters out of his guard at range. Then maybe he'd stop throwing without any regard for defense.

I don't know about 10/10, but I think Garcia wins again. Khan really needs to make a lot of tactical and technical improvements.

I have my doubts but we'll see if it comes in time with Virgil.

Yes but that is how khan boxes, you can't say he is the superior boxer if he did this or that, because that's fantasy. As it stands Garcia throws better counters, has better timing and better technique. Khan has terrible footwork, throws from too far away and has alot of defensive flaws, he is simply faster, making it appear that he's out boxing people. From a technical standpoint Garcia is a better fighter.
