    You're a ****ing idiot.

Numerous posters have layed out analysis for starters. But anyway, what makes you think that it's up to Pacquiao supporters to justify their guy? You've started an entire thread presupposing that Mayweather is the heavy favourite - nay, a lock. You're the one that needs some ****ing justification, dip****.

"the reason pac has a chance to beat mayweather"

Try the fact that he's a ****ing good fighter, for starters?

This sounds like what Gunns was talking about. People giving pac a chance stating the reason that he's simply just pac.:patsch

Just watch...it will happen...:good Them will say "Floyd conned the boxing world into believing he should be be in with a smaller fighter." They will say "Pac was handpicked"...

He can beat Floyd the same way any other fighter could beat him, by beating him up. It's what I like about boxing, the theater of the unexpected.. Anyone can get knocked out at any given time. Do I think Pac will beat Floyd? Like many things in life, such is easier said then done. Floyd by UD or mid-late round stoppage

I've already explained a million times why I think Pac will win, and different people around here have also given technical reasons why he will win. Just do a search.

I give Manny more than a punchers chance to beat Floyd but I think with what we've seen JMM do to Pac and Pac did knock him down 4 times.

To me a punchers chance is 10% or less.

I give Manny 25-35%. Floyd style is wrong for Manny but like I said, he's an amazing fighter.

Actually there's a lot about his technique that gives him a chance. I'm not going to explain it because I've already done so too many times as have other people. Your just too lazy to read it or don't want to.

I'm tired of debating the subject though. You guys will get the revelation when this fight goes down.

Here I did the work for you; pretty solid analysis by Evander Holyfield:

You're totally missing the point. Why is the burden of proof suddenly on Pacquiao apologetics not only to make a case for him winning, but to make one that he actually has a chance with Floyd? These are the two best fighters of our generation, or, at the very least, among the very best. Pacquiao a few months ago ran over one of the best Welters of the last few years. And this moron thinks that the default pick has to be a Mayweather schooling? Give me a ****ing break.

There's nothing wrong with picking Mayweather, but assuming that he's a lock and calling everyone else a nuthugger is characteristic of someone right in the dregs of fanboyship.

i know your opinion...BUT WHEN I TELL U THAT FLOYD HAS THE BETTER 'TECHNICAL' FOOTWORK IM NOT SAYING IT TO YOU AS A FAN OF FLOYD

IM TELLING U THAT HE DOES...PERIOD..THERE IS NO ARGUMENT THAT YOU CAN MAKE THAT PAC HAS BETTER FOOTWORK WITH FLOYD...0...

SO HOW IS MANNY GONNA GET THE TEMPO OF THE FIGHT UP WHEN FLOYD WILL CONTROL THE TEMPO OF THE FIGHT? IM NOT SAYIN IT CUZ I LIKE MAYWEATHER AND I DONT LIKE MANNY AS MUCH..IM TELLIN U THIS AS U CAN SEE IT EASY ..FLOYD HAS THE BETTER FOOTWORK AND THUS WILL FORCE MANNY TO FIGHT HIS TEMPO OF FIGHT..

WHAT WILL MANNY DO WHEN HE IS "FORCED" INTO A BOXING MATCH AND NO FIGHT BREAKS OUT??:think

The problem is you guys think this is going to look Like Floyd -MArquez or Floyd -Hatton or something. Watch floyd fight any southpaw. It's a completely different kind of fight. Watch him with Zab Judah. A southpaw makes Floyd fight very differently then he's used to. He can't use the same tactics that he used on Marquez and Mosley. Just watch Floyd fight southpaws, then watch that analysis by Evander Holyfield that I just posted, it's pretty much spot-on.

And I disagree about the footwork. Manny's footwork has improved so much over the years it's borderline brilliant. He's become amazing with feints and fighting in angles. Floyd has more solid text-book footwork, but Manny has faster feet and can turn/feint/create angles much quicker. I liken the comparison to a Pernell Whitaker and Roy Jones. Manny is more like a prime Roy Jones with very unorthodox footwork but extremely fast/agile and can turn on the spot, while Floyd is more like Whitaker with quick feet but more orthodox and flat-footed.

another thing ... you guys always bring up the marquez / morales fights. The main thing here is that Floyd fights nothing like those guys. Your comparing two counterpunchers, which is like comparing two offensive fighters. Are Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier the same because they both come forward? It wasn't just counterpunching that made those guys so successful, they did other things too which Floyd doesn't do. Add on top of that Pacquiao is a much more well-rounded, smarter fighter now.

as far as the southpaw..i can just as easily come back and say "well floyd does good against smaller fighters"...thats just a matter of opinion

when i tell u he has the better footwork your welcome to disagree..but it isnt even close man..im not tellin u this as a fan of floyd...its straight out true man...floyd has much better footwork than JUST ABOUT ANYBODY in boxing today..im not trying to put your boy manny down...but i mean if u really think his footwork is on par with floyds you really dont know alot about technical boxing..pacs footwork is solid....but not on floyds level...U MENTION HOW GOOD MANNY PAC'S FOOTOWORK HAS BECOME RECENTLY..WHEN U TALK ABOUT FLOYD ur talkin about a fighter who been working on footwork since he was 4 or 5...

AGAIN...IM NOT SAYIN THAT $HIT AS A FAN OF FLOYD...IT WOULDNT CHANGE IF I DIDN'T LIKE FLOYD..FACT IS HE GOT THE BETTER FOOTWORK..UR OPINION IS COOL MAN...BUT GO ASK A FEW TRAINERS AND I BET THEY TELL U FLOYD OWNS MANNY IN THE FOOTWORK DEPT..N BTW IM NOT TALKIN FOOTSPEED..IM TALKIN FOOTWORK

^ then you don't understand or haven't seen much of Manny's footwork as of late. Your not noticing the subtleties - like the feints, the angles, etc. I said Floyd's footwork is more solid / text-book, but Manny has faster feet and is arguably more athletic - like a prime Roy Jones. We're really comparing apples and oranges, but if I had to pick someone with more impressive footwork it's Manny by far. The things he does with his feet no one else can do, and it's half the reason his opponents can't deal with him as of late.
