Before Lenox retired, many ppl were not giving him any credit. After he retired and ppl looked back, he was then called an ATG by many who ripped him when he was active.

Wlad is still active and still dominating... wait until he retires to decide if he is ATG

you said he is not even HOF..... now that is bull**** and you know it:deal

Don't waste your time Chef, the guy is obsessed with 'proving' how Wlad is historically a meaningless HW. It's the same thing people thought about Holmes, Holyfield and Lewis while they were active.

Once fighters retire they are looked at with more objectivity.

As i said to Madball, he has the chance to greatly imporove his legacy with the new crop around.
Think i said he'd scrape in!

Look, what if I told you in 2000 that Lennox Lewis (2-3 years before his retirement, age 35) would be considered an ATG after he retires.

People would have laughed and scoffed at the idea. Just think about it.

I dont think he is great for what he has done, and for also the loses he took.
Where does the list stop. Is it never ending? Does Tommy Morrison have an ATG ranking in the top 200-300?

Wlad should be in the top 15 by now.

I think he'll be around 12-8 when he finally retires.

    Vitali? Top 25-20.

I remember Lewis being the top HW around in the 90's and being held in high regard.

Name 20 HW fighters that have done greater things (excitement, determination, skill, longevity, live gates etc.) than Wlad has done?

Admittedly, Wlad doesn't score in all departments but then again few fighters in history did. Wlad certainly delivers full points in other areas. You won't find 20 other fighters in history that were as great as him (considering all factors) if he retired today.

i could almost bet you that historians didnt have Lewis, Holmes, Foreman top 10 while they were active

saying historians dont have Vitali top 10 right now is a dumb argument

i do think in 10 yrs the Klitschkos will get their deserved respect

that all aside i doubt Vitali cracks top 10 outside of his short notice chance vs Lewis he never really had the chance to face many HOF kind of guys which isnt his fault

but his longevity and dominance will keep him in discussions which is what a fighter needs to do when he doesnt have a signature opponent floating around

It always falls back to competition with guys that say "NO ATG"... so explain Holmes to me..... not a great Era yet most say ATG....

Wlad is 1 belt away from FULL unification and has DOMINATED the division for 8 years now hardly even losing a round let alone a fight and yet he doesn't hit your ATG list?

IMO wlad is easily in the top 20-15 and will be top 10 when he finally hangs up the gloves

like I said... where do you have him?... what number?

That exposes you as a guy who didn't watch boxing in the late 90s.

Lewis wasn't highly regarded. He was widely considered the best in a mediocre division by the media across Europe and especially the US.
