The reason why Deontay's fight is not announced yet, is the fault with the opponents?

We haven't considered the possibility that the opponents might not want to fight Wilder fearing the possibility that their careers will be put on a permanent halt.

    That's what I'm considering.

Most people like to rip on him claiming that he's trying to find the weakest man the WBC is allowing him to fight (Bottom of the barrel in the top 15)

But I'm thinking that nobody wants to fight Wilder

Wilder should be fighting Povetkin next

They don't want to fight on a few weeks notice, why not do what most fighters do and get an opponent sorted before setting a date?...

This is a good point and I don't think we'll ever know.

But I'm sure he tried to find the best guy he could (Aside from Alexander) because he wants to wait for the fight to get juicier, and for the purse bid.

I'm not convinced that anyone really is ecstatic to face him, he's a scary man to fight. No one has really called him out... besides Briggs.

    Oh well.

Agreed, and he should be stripped for his blatant ducking.

    LOL.

So even though he doesn't have to fight his mandatory until next year, he should be stripped for not doing so.

You're a funny guy. You amuse me.

But his next fight is practically signed....and he's fighting another poor opponent. I like Wilder but he's wasting his time fighting trash buckets

Only because We Be Crooks are corrupt as hell and allowing him to fight bums, but in a sane world he would be stripped. Yeah I guess guys like you and MVC! enjoy seeing the HW division in a stagnant state, Wilder is making it worse than it has to be.

How do you figure that he doesn't have to fight his mando until next year????

He won the title in January this year. WBC rules state that a champion must make a at least one mandatory defense a year.

Wilder is clearly avoiding his obligations.

:deal I'm pretty sure his team hasn't even bothered to try to contact with Jennings, Takam or TT, a.k.a the only worthy opponents other than Povetkin and Joshua. They're clearly picking the opponents who won't jeopardise the pay day from possible Wlad and Povetkin fights.

He will announce his opponent an hour before the fight, giving him just enough time to go to the bathroom and put the gloves on.
