That's the only important bit right there.

You claimed that the blow was to the back of the head.

I showed you that it wasn't.

    Legit KD.

    End of story.

Now go and lick your wounds.

i watched the fight again this morning.
the knockdown in the first round , a clubbing right around the head, put a weight pivoting forward, off balance hopkins down.
it was the punch and his feet that caused hopkins to go down

    it was a legit knockdown

the knockdown in round 3 was started by a nice clean left hook, and as hopkins back was against the ropes he took a short left flush and it was this that sent him down.

IMO the ref was right to rule both as knockdowns.

 Are you on crack? You came in here and proved that it was a bogus knockdown, that's why I thanked you. I don't really understand what you're doing, obviously anyone with eyes and a basic understanding of the rules of boxing can see it wasn't a legitimate knockdown and you brought the evidence. I like you, you're good for a laugh

    Exactly.

Two KDs that left Bernard trailing by five points after three rounds.

He won most of the rest of the fight, but he dug himself too deep of a hole in the first nine minutes.

    113-113 was fair.

114-112 in favour of either man would also have been reasonable.

    No robbery here.

That sticky stuff trickling down the backs of your legs... that's rectal blood.

From the video-enhanced arse-raping you just suffered in your own thread.

I'm serious. You should consider tiddley-winks.

    So long, lefty !

Hopkins got hit on the back of the head because he put himself in that position trying to hold and turning his back.

Reminded me of when that eurobum Silvio Branco was ducking all over the place and Pascal knocked him down with shots to the back of the head and starting faking trying to get the DQ.

Hopkins unusually, but to his credit, didn't resort to those tactics this fight, but both were legit knockdowns. The third time he hit the canvas he was also lucky not to have it ruled a knockdown too. When Pascal hit the canvas, it was clearly a push/headbutt by Hopkins.

Anyway, I thought the ref did a good job. The fight was pretty close and, given the hole Hopkins dug himself into with those two knockdowns and possibly losing the first four rounds, I have no problem with the decision.
