    The ref is too busy focusing on his job and anything illegal the fighters may be doing rather than who is landing the most.

    Another thing that comes to mind is that you wouldn 't want a ref administrating the fight with an mind on who is winning or losing, and what kind of an effect his in-ring rulings would have in a bout. Just let him focus completely on managing the fight in an unburdened and impartial manner.
