The rehydration clause comes from Canelo or the IBF?

So, the IBF doesn't mandate it. Gotcha.

 I heard that he tripped and fell into a meat truck on the way to the gym. It's not his fault the meat was saturated in clenbuterol. He had no say in eating kilos and kilos of it. He had to do that to escape ... Almost every single fight Canelo has is subject to a weight restriction but the innocent little angel has NO IDEA about it? Sure ...

    And this guy:

"“The weigh-in will be at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday,” Jacobs’ promoter Eddie Hearn said. “He don’t have to come in at 10 lbs. He can come in over 10 lbs if he wants. It’s still a fight. We’ll see how he feels. There’s penalties. Still, if he doesn’t feel like making it, and he has a bit of change, or I may pay for it. You never know. He won’t lose his [IBF middleweight] belt. He won’t lose the fight,” Hearn said."

 Careful you don't walk too far in one direction, or you may fall off the edge of the flat earth. Naturally, Canelo had NOTHING to do with draining Chavez to 164lb either

    Yes.

    No.

"they just don't mandate it anymore"

Caneloweight at 155lb is a thing.

    Nah, I'm good, thanks.

    I'll stick to the facts.

I'm cheering for Jacobs. He's got a bit of class and despite the shennanigans he pulled with missing the IBF weigh in for Golovkin, he's a saint compared to Canelo. That said, its probably gonna be Canelo on points.

If it favors Canelo, it will be done.

I'm pulling for Jacobs as well but I'm not holding my breath. The only way DJ wins that fight is if he stops Canelo.

And we know the chances of that are snowball in hell tier. Only possible way DJ wins this is if Alvarez picks up some freak, freak injury.

The IBF still mandates it like they did in Jacobs last fight vs Derevyanchenko. They no longer mandate it for unification fights, due largely if not entirely to Jacobs history of not participating in it lol which put GGG at a perceived disadvantage which maybe the G man complained about.

Oh really almost every single fight Canelo has is subject to a weight restriction? Really ? Because it looks like the only times a Canelo has had a rehydration limit was when he fought Fielding which was after Lampley's announcement about more same day weigh-ins, and the only time his side insisted on a catchweight was when he fought Chavez Jr, in a non-title fight north of 160 vs a guy in Chavez that fought Martinez at 160.

Clear deflection. We know there's a same day weigh-in lmao. Hearn confirming the details of it says nothing about whether Canelo or his team insisted on it or whether it was an IBF / commision request. You've treated something that Jacobs said at face value as a fact, something Canelo flatly denied in an interview. It's humorous that you are so quick to believe the guy (Jacobs) who refused to participate in one vs GGG who put GGG at a big disadvantage which resulted in the lack of an IBF mandate for unifications.

Actually the agreement was 164.5 lbs get it right. I think with Chavez it is understandable that Canelo requested a catchweight. It was a non-title fight anyway so if there wasn't a catchweight Chavez may have come in at over 200 lbs by fight night if he was allowed to just eat all the cheeseburgers he wanted. There are situations where catchweights make sense and situations where they don't. I don't like catchweights for title fights, but for non title fights where a smaller guy is moving up a weight class or more to fight a bigger guy, I think there are situation where I can accept it. Canelo may have had something to do with the Chavez catchweight, but that was north of 160 vs a fighter who made Middleweight for Martinez. With Canelo having fought at 154 lbs just the year before, was asking for a 164.5 lb catchweight vs Chavez all that bad ?

Yeah they just don't mandate it anymore, says the guy responsible for the IBF changing that rule lmao.

All part of a misleading and inaccurate agenda.

LOL The facts, the facts like Jacobs said it, so it must be true. Jacobs, the guy with a history of refusing to participate in the IBF same day weigh-in for GGG, despite it being in the GGG contract. The contract expert Jacobs who violated it when it was mandated vs GGG lmao.

"despite the shennanigans he pulled with missing the IBF weigh in for Golovkin" :risas3:

Selective outrage I see, even if you're right that Canelo or his team "insisted" on the same day weigh-in here, it would be the same expectation of Jacobs that you had when he fought GGG. You call it "shennanigans" that Jacobs missed the same day weigh-in vs GGG, but now how dare Canelo agree to one when fighting for the same title ?

You didn't even spell shenanigans right lol.

:BangHead:Catch weights now have nothing to do with cutting weight like rehydration :duh:risas3:

Yo some of this nonsense is UN FK N believable :risas3:

GB put the 10 pound clause into the contract and we know this to be a fact so why try and defend this nonsense :BangHead:

Danny knew this when he took the fight and I guarantee Canelo goes for the KO

"They no longer mandate it for unification fights"

    ^ Yep, my point.

Jacobs, Fielding, Chavez, Cotto, Khan ... he wanted GGG at 155 as well

Dude your logic is extremely weak. If the IBF wanted it, then their belt would be off the table of Jacobs could not make 170. It's obvious. But since its in the CONTRACT Team Jacobs NEGOTIATED with GOLDEN BOY there's only a penatly to be paid, and that payment goes to Canelo. Stop being disingenuous.

Because Canelo is a liar? Because there's a contract? Because the IBF specifically waived the weigh in? This is embarrassing dude.

Excellent. More proof that Canelo likes draining fighters. Carry on.

    What's that?

"they just don't mandate it anymore"

    Thanks.

So shadows last straw is: but but Canelo didn't know his team put the second weigh in in the contract. Canelo CAN't be the bad guy. Then he comes up with laughable assumptions like, well maybe the IBF still suggested that rule and Golden Boy mistakingly thought they had to put it in the contract...
This is nothing less than a delusion.
