The Rematch: Cotto vs Margarito II

Marg looked very bad last time out. Yeah he won but it looked like the suspension, subsequent layoff, and of course Shane shaved years off of his ring life. Most of you won't agree, but all factors considered, I'd say a close Cotto win.

 

cotto actually gave the blue print to mosley on how to beat margo but those brick hands eventually caught up to him by the 5th round when they had become bricks already and cottos mobility was gone so he stood in the pocket to long

Margarito will inevitably land a big fight. It mine as well be Cotto who gets to collect his scalp.

 

Cotto talks about how Margacheato doesn't deserve to make any moar $ with him, but we all know getting his vengeance over cheato would skyrocket his confidence.

 

Pac should have fought Foreman. He would have knocked him out, a real knockout.

 

After watching cotto going back to the body in the foreman fight, i believe he would do the same against margarito, in turn waring him down a little bit. Plus cotto has the advantage of watching how mosely won, hopefully he would follow the blueprint of holding instead of running. These two thing matched together would make a vast difference if these two were to fight again. Cotto by a wide margin decision.

 

Cotto did very little body-work before the 7th round, and only because Foreman couldn't move anymore and was hardly punching back.

This would be a totally different story against Margarito. AM would be coming forward and doing a lot of punching!

 

Yeah, I thought he didnt wanna help margacheato make any more money as well.

 

Ironically, Margarito would probably bring Cotto a bigger check than anyone not named Floyd or Pac!

As much as I agree with Cotto's stance on Margarito....If there was any chance this fight could happen in the future .....I want Cotto to take it and give Margarito a boxing lesson.

 

this would be an ideal next fight for cotto. and if he wins this time, his legacy would increase significantly..

No one really knows the state of either fighter at the moment.

The outcome of this fight would truly be 50-50.

Margaritos aura of invincibility is gone. Mosley made it known to the world that even Margarito, who was once thought as unhurtable is not so.

Margarito has had over a year long lay off, had a decent scrap against a relatively unkown.

Cotto was coming off a bad loss (although he did put up a good fight against one of the top fighters ATM) beat an untested rushed in fighter.

This fight must happen though to answer many questions.

Considering the first fight, with the new changes (Marg knocked out, Cotto with a world class trainer who is teaching him better defenese and coordination)

I think Cotto takes a UD but earning it with blood.
