You ****ing idiotic Cotto fanboys... FIRST, you should step back and see what Margarito has left after the Mosley loss before you put him in tehere with Cotto again, because if Antonio is anywhere near the fighter he was for their first fight then Margo probably stops Cotto even faster the second time.
That's the thing, both have lost something. The thing is though, Margarito won the first match. Since then he got knocked out by Mosely, took a year off, and beat a nobody. Cotto since Margarito beat a nobody, had a close fight with a damn good fighter, go beat badly by Pac, and now has beat a nobody. We saw what inactivity did to Mosley, while Cotto has remained active this whole time. We simply just do not know what either fighter has left, but we've seen more of Cotto so naturaly most would choose him at the moment.
That's a nice assumption at the end there.. but it's wrong. The real reason so many are picking Cotto is not because of the sound and logical reasons you just mentioned, it's because Cotto has as many fanboys on here as anybody and Margarito has as many haters on here as anybody, so of course many fans are going to favor Cotto regardless of what transpired during and since their first fight. :deal
Don't know... I need to see more of Margarito to see what he has left in the tank... but like I said, if Margo is anywhere near the fighter he was back then then he probably dsimantles Cotto even quicker in a rematch.
The exact reason that I think Cotto would stop him. Margarito got ****ing battered by Mosley and I personally can't help but wonder if his punch resistance will be the same after that fight.
I would love to see this fight and initial thoughts is that Cotto may squeak a UD. Cotto may not be the same but lets not forget that Margarito has been relatively inactive after the ban and had previously been given one of the biggest beatings by Mosley.
Cotto-Margarito II, I think , is most likely is going to happen as both are with TR,... unless of course, if Pac fights either of these two for his plan B.
I think they damaged each other. Margarito was eating terrible shots all night, even when he'd taken over. When Mosley faced Margo, he was already faded a little, his punch resistance had ebbed and Mosley did a great job of dissecting him.
Margarito would win by late knockout again. In the Foreman fight Cotto was easily countered with the overhand right. Margarito being the naturally bigger guy would have much more power than him at 154 imo
