Yes he does, but he went down like the Titanic this time. That was a bigger burnout than I think anyone could have expected, even considering what we already knew about Taylor.

 

Let do the rematch and lets get it on hbo. I think Taylor certainly has a better chance of winning this fight then he did the PAvlik Rematch. Props to Froch for not even hesitating on making an offer.

Lets get this thing on HBO in England and give these guys the money they diserve.

 

No Taylor is biuld like a springer not a distance runner. At 30 he's not going to change that no matter how hard he tries.

 

The thing is getting knocked out - it takes it out of you. There aren't that many boxers who come back to their very best after getting knocked out twice. (OK Taylor wasn't quite KO'd, but as good as.)

 

Personally, I would see Hopkins actually KOing Froch late after a very boring fight. Froch doesn't pressure like Pavlik. He doesn't throw punches in bunches like Kelly either. Yet like Pavlik, he's just above par in speed and not that hard to hit. Pavlik's knockdown from Taylor came when he did something stupid, choosing to gloat in the second round which allowed Taylor to pop him in the sweet spot behind the ear. Taylor's knockdown of Froch was completely legit no matter how Carl wants to see it. Hopkins would be a VERY bad idea for Froch.

 

If Froch has no other options left and the rematch takes place in the UK, why not

Hopkins wont fight Froch because he will not go down to 168.
Period. Because he would have to fight Kessler. Who has already put it on the line to Hopkins in person.

I would put money on Jones with a possible DQ of Hopkins for an intentional head butt.
Hopkins quit and went into ***** mode against JC where as Jones TRIED to win. He did not quit for the whole twelve rounds. ALSO who wouldnt want to watch Hopkins and Jones get it on?

PLEASE give it a rest. 154 is his weight class to make a name for himself. Below weight drain will get him and 160 up he wont be able to keep fighting 40 and 37 year olds.

 

Spot on no rematch necessary, we will see froch improve in the rematch. Time for Froch to move ona nd for JT to become a gatekeeper

 

Hopkins would probably kill Froch. Everything that Froch does well Hopkins does better and only he's a clinical beast about it. Plus he's bigger and probably just as fast if not faster.
