It seemed impossible for the steam train to get to where it is, but it has defied all logic and the next stop is Japan for the WBC title! Rendall will be a big underdog, but win or lose the guy deserves everything he gets from now on. He has done British boxing proud by beating top European operators Kiko Martinez and Simone Maludrottu and seizing his chance against Victor Terrazas to have the right for a crack at the WBC title.

Well done Rendall, and good luck for the future :good

(I know Maloney said he will try to get Nishioka over here, but I think that will be unlikely).

Edit: I should never doubt Maloney...

Surely Munroe would get some better money by taking the fight in Japan?!

Either way he did well, expect in the 1st 4 rounds, after that he had Terrazas on the ropes for good periods and used his height and strength to over power him.

It will be a bit of a culture shock for the Japs...Bob Marley pounding out and elements of the crowd dressed as binmen :huh

What day would this fight be on?? because i notice they fight midweeks and obviously the time difference means sky's involvement may not be there for this one. I hope they do show fight though as they gone through the ranks with the lad and he's a success story.

Yeah, in Japan they fight on various different days (to accommodate for the amount of shows they have a year - they normally have 100+ every year at the Korakuen Hall alone!). Maybe if Maloney and Sky combine, they will be able to convince Nishioka's promoter get it on a weekend or something. I can certainly see them doing delayed coverage of the fight though :think

Dunne might of beat him, wouldnt be easy though. Rendall has a better chance at the top level because he has a sturdy chin, great stamina, really strong and lots of heart.
