:hi: Even though I like Pavlick he can be beaten for these reasons. 1)He has a tendency to leave his wide open when, Lockett can bang them. Dont you worry about that! 2)No one is giving Locket a chance in hell, this will only spur him on to take his chance even more. 3)Lockett does have a better boxing brain, with quicker desicion making. 4)I dont know if Pavlik's mind is on this fight as is trainer loew has made comments about fighting Joe Calzghe. I think the term here is "dont put all your eggs in one basket." We all know what Pavlik is dangerous for! he also has a reach advantage so it is imperitive for Lockett to work on the inside and get in close as much as possible. Lockett is a warrior that has a jaw like a sledge hammer, as a consequnce we will see how hard Pavlik can hit. It will be a really competitive fight. May the best man win! :good
I don't know. while I think Pavlik has flaws that can be exploited, I'm not sure if Lockett will do it. I saw an interview with him and he's like, "Well, I don't even like boxing that much." It's hard to belive that a guy who does not care much for boxing will be willing to take the amounts of punishment that Pavlik is capable of dealing out in oreder to gut out a win.
Gary Lockett? I thought this thread was about the Green Lantern! In watching Lockett's clips, he does seem to have the proverbial puncher's chance. The problem is that he has to walk into those long rangy arms of Kelly Pavlik in order to have a chance. Anyone walking straight in on Pavlik will have to go through one hellish storm of punches.
