Arthur coming back to face McDonagh in Glasgow. Undercard of burns-Martinez. He's been sparring with Limond. Is it time to call it quits? http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/192962-arthur-set-for-comeback-after-limond-sparring/
Defo, what chance has he got if he cant convincinly beat someone who has lost 18 of 33 fights. Even if he did beat Gomez. Im sure Gomez was prob hungover or something lol
Bizarre ending to the fight, you should check it out. Basically Gomez had enough, put his arms down and walked towards his corner. McDonagh hits him about a dozen times before he goes down, Gomez gets up and his corner stop it. Anyway, no disgrace for Arthur if he can't stop McDonagh.
[yt]XiJYi3ZEuOU[/yt] just making it official.....or whatever. p.s. youtube commenters are brainless. "he was stabbed in that fight, idiot"
on the subject. yeah needs to look impressive. if he shuts him out completly and doesnt get hit at all then i would understand it. mcdonagh will retire
Cheers for the video. Aye, just had enough eh? I want to do arthur do well. Hopefully he gets back up there, but yeah, has to show he's got something left to build on.
imo arthur is finished, if he beats up mcdonagh then fights and beats gavin rees then maybe i'll change my mind. but the arthur fighting wright was just a joke.
I was watching Arthur and Limond on Tuesday and both looked good. I should think he'll get a clear points victory in this one
Feel quite bad for Arthur. He wouldnt be in this place if he didnt have soooo much smoke blown up his ass early on in his career. Since the Gomez beating he's never been the same. He's been found wanting ever since. Warren got him a route to a title and he got schooled by Nicky Cook. Now he fights once a year. Its over Arthur. Retire with your dignity or start taking boxing seriously again.
Exactly, mcdonagh's no mug. Really like and respect arthur but im not sure where he's going with this comeback. If he has something left good luck to him but really he's done everything at domestic/european level so his only motivation has to be world level which looks a long way away
Domestic/Euro is his level. It's also Cook's level, and he beat Arthur easily, it wasn't even close. A man that loses to Nigel Wright shouldn't delude himself into thinking he's in with a chance of a run at world level, even in an average division like 135.
have you ever really listened to arthur, he is probably one of the most deluded fighters i have seen in years.
:thumbsup Boom. I actually think he may have a screw loose. I know he's a devout Christian but the guy is really deluded. He tends to think that he is some kind of ambassador for god and hence his route to success in boxing is divine. O k Alex. :think
