Being spoonfed some chump is no way to prepare for a WBC title shot which is likely to be coming his way - he may as well fight one of the Smith brothers, or somebody like that.
No - I didn't comment on the match up. Looked at the schedule for Friday on Sky and was merely providing details of Olusegun's listed opponent.
That one would be a guaranteed cure for insomnia - Witter is perhaps the most boring fighter to watch in the UK, despite being very talented. Witter is mando for the Euro title, I would fancy him against Branco, who drew with Colin Lynes (on my card) as long as they could get the fight over here.
I doubt Witter-Olusegun would be that boring Witter is fine as long as he is fighting somebody who presses the action - the Bradley fight was not boring. Olusegun will do that.
The Bradley fight was good - I suppose I remember the Lynes and Kotelnik fights, which were awful, as were the Corley and Morua ones.
Well, take a look at the opposition there and you'll see what I mean Lynes - Safety first 1-2 merchant Kotelnik - Stand up Eastern Euro type that takes no risks Corley - Awkward sort of guy, 2 unorthodox types never looks pretty Make no mistake, there are few styles that make for an exciting fight with Witter, you are spot on there, but Olusegun is potentially one of them. You really have to engage him.
Suppose so! I do rate Witter, but feel he will go down as one of the biggest enigmas in British sport, never mind just boxing. A guy with real talent, but bad attitude and lazyness hold him back big time.
