The greatest fighter MMA has ever seen will fight tonight, against a top ten ranked heavyweight opponent.

How will this fight play out?

Do we know if Fedor will be in top form or has his long reign at the summit of the heavyweight division finally over for good?

    Tonight we will find out!

Yeah, it will be a great fight tonight, I'm sure. As of how it will play out... I don't have a good feeling for Fedor in this fight (and tournament). He is 34 and as always much smaller than his opponent... how can you win against bigger (and often stronger) guys: with skills and speed. Everyone will agree, that Fedor is excellent in both categories. But with 34, you loose speed and your reaction times are slower day by day. Even Fedor admitted, that he is "feeling his age" in the recent press conference. And Silva is no pushover with his size and weight advantage as well as his very good record (15-2). On paper Fedor should win this and he will be a big favorite, but summing up all those factors it won't be an easy fight for Fedor and it wouldn't surprise me if he lost... I think Fedor should call it a (MMA's best ever) career after this tournament.

I hope Fedor wins the tournament then retires (as long as he beats Werdum in the tourney, if not then he should have 1 more fight vs Werdum after the tourney then retire) but if he loses to anyone, he might as well retire... he`s did everything so far, this tourney will be icing on the cake, win or lose, retirement should be not far away IMO.

I don't think Fedor is shot. I think he is older and probably not what he once as in terms of sharpness but he isn't shot. He just made a mistake by staying in the guard too long as he looked for the finish.

Big Foot is too big of a target and not fast enough to hold off Fedors onslaught. Fedor will then look to finish, most likely with some sort of sub or punches if Silva is pretty much out. Just depends how long Fedor spends finding his range and timing.

I see it ending by a first round submission. Probably a armbar or RNC after Fedor has felled the giant.

Well for all our sakes let's just hope that Fedor wins the tourney and retires because if he ever went to the UFC and heaven forbid lost his first fight like 75% of the other fighters coming from Japan we'd never hear the end of the conspiracy theories about how shot he was. Best for him to end his career cleaning out the lower tier of the division and going out on a solid top ten win.
