He's actually been fighting MMA for a while, has an ok record, no real standout wins though. I could see him winning with leg kicks, but I have no idea how far past it he is at 41 years old. Williams has never looked like a world beater in mma, but an old kickboxer who isn't looking to sub him is a good matchup for him.
Its funny, I remember watching Rick Roufus when I was a kid, and then years later seen him in K-1 being called "The Living Legend", the greatest kickboxing champion of all time, etc. I think the styles of Roufus being a kickboxer and boxer against Williams who is schooled in Judo and Boxing, makes for an intriguing fight.
I've been a fan of Rick Roufus ever since Kitsongrit (sp) kicked his shins out from under him. Seriously. Roufus showed a lot of heart and grit in taking punishment in that fight. His list of kickboxing wins is impressive including Stan the Man Longinidus, Jean Yves Thieriult (sp), Maurice Smith (K1), and (a young) Ernesto Hoost. Does anyone know if Roufus ever fought Dennis Alexio? This makes for an intriguing match of styles. Could be a slugfest.
