Flicking through the UK papers online it looks like once again they're trying to tear down the furious one.

Yes it was Garcia but we all knew it would be a workout type fight, truth is the UK rags will never warm to Fury, he doesn' fit the stereotype of what they and the UK casuals want for a heavyweight champion.

It's hard to look good when you're trying not to hurt the other guy!

Really it was a waste of time for Fury himself...

Hopefully Warren stays away from picking future opponents and leaves that to his trainer Ben.

I think the goal is a big payday fight against AJ.

This reminded me of the other Tyson's exhibition fight against Sanders, where he ended up holding Sanders up. It was that same standard so a bit embarrassing for a sanctioned fight but I didn't expect much to be honest. He needs a chance to improve and hopefully he can keep his head together enough to do that, which isn't a given. The man is erratic.

He's going take the Haye route.

3 easy warm up fights to build the hype before cashing out against AJ.

Yep I'll be shocked if he fights anyone decent before facing Joshua. I think someone like Bellew or Charr is the best we can expect before he fights Joshua. Even during his prime it's not like he fought the very best before facing Wlad, best guys he beat before Wlad were Chisora and Cunningham, he's not one to take big risks.

There's alot of criticism of Fury after last night but he does invite it to be fair. He shows disdain for most other fighters and said he could come off the couch to beat Joshua or Wilder. Ok we know he doesn't mean what he says most of the time but if he's going to come out with this nonsense he's going to continue to look daft.

Mentally he's clearly still very fragile. That was clear last night when he felt the need to spend a whole round playing to the crowd.

Like others have said in other threads he badly needs Peter Fury to direct him. He's a natural boxer but not naturally motivated and not mentally strong. Hopefully they will get back together.

Fury will need at least 1-2 years before he'll be in any real condition to fight Joshua or Wilder.

Shades of Oliver McCall with Fury. It's obvious he's not mentally recovered from confronting Wilder. The gypsy clan we'll probably sacrifice their king to the devastating bronze bomber in the next 24 months. Please Deontay make the fight as soon as possible, so you will be regarded as the true lineal champion, lol.

Disagree with that. He signed to fight Haye at a time when 95% of the boxing world were convinced he'd be blown away.
This was right after the Cunningham fight so it was fair to see why so many people thought Haye would be a horrible match-up for him.
Losing to Haye would have likely lost him a shot at Wlad. But on the other hand , had Wlad watched Fury dismantle and stop Haye in clinical fashion , he would probably have avoided the fight. :naughty2::sisi1

Crying for his opponent on the way to the ring, and then turning his back mid way through the fight to stop fighting completely.

I can see all of this unraveling against Tony Bellew

One of the most intense ring walks ever.

Though I have to say if I saw my opponent who happened to be named The Atomic Bomb, crying for me on their way to the ring with the Devil himself Don King behind him, then I wouldn't want any part of that man.

My issue with last night wasn't the clowning about, it's that he chose to. This man, apparently released from three years of hell and finding salvation in resurrecting his boxing career, didn't chose to box for two-and-a-half rounds. Surely, he must have wanted to feel the satisfaction of landing a good stiff jab or a body punch, as soon as possible against a man who presented no threat? But no, he preferred to dance about and look in the crowd and project a false sense of inner confidence. That was a choice and a revealing one which begs the question: How much does he really want it?
