It won't be long til the return of James Kirkland to prison.

His trainer Manne Wolfe, is on more drugs than Keith Richards.

I cant get too excited about his career, as most likley, he will be back in jail before he can make a big splash :-(

He wasnt all that anyway. He just never got in the ring with anyone good enough to drop him.

    Excuse me?

    :blood

Have you somehow gone your entire life deprived of the thrill-ride that is Kirkland vs. Conyers?

Kirkland's like a big Kendall Holt.

He'd have gotten off the canvas to stop Angulo had they been matched up back around the time they were supposed to have been.

In fact, it'll probably still play out the same way if he returns to his old form and it's made late.

A big Kendall Holt??? Like that good?:patsch

And I seen the Conyers fight live and he really shouldnt have problems like that vs someone like Conyers. And Angulo aint so glass jaw Conyers.

An amazing fighter. Great conditioning, extremely aggressive action style, and great killer instinct. And he's a southpaw to boot.

I dont think Kirkland was anywhere near as talented as Ayala.

Has boxing deteriorated to the point where we refer to a guy with 25 fights as "a legend?"

One of my favorite current fighters without a doubt, the intensity, will to win, ferocity, that James brings to the ring..... just is beautiful.
I hope he can come back and get back on track asap, not too long ago, Angulo vs Kirkland was one of the 'fans biggest treats' style fights.... It would be great to see these two settle their unfinished buisness.

As a fan of Kirkland, i do recognise his shortcomings, and the truth is as of right now against an elite opponent he is a KO waiting to happen, and if hes going to be succesful long at the elite level hes going to need to do something about his defence, he can still be the menacing non stop attacker that he is, but hes going to have to incorporate some more subtle defence inside.

I dont see that happening however, but regardless, im going to enjoy the ride as a fan wherever it might take him and i hope its to become a dominant champion but we will see.

It seems like this happens all too often with undefeated prospects on their way to something great (ala valero, different situation but the issues are there).

Im just hoping he will come back as focused as he was before he left, becuase I'd hate to see him like alot of guys that come back, but something just isnt there.

I have a feeling he'll be at SMW, I've heard he's gained some wait in there.

I hope he truly comes back, and stays away from trouble. This guy can make a difference. It also gives his trainer, I forget her name, a chance to work with a star fighter again.
