CST made a good case about Horn's style and ability but omitted the most glaring aspect about his boxing and that is he rarely lands a good clean scoring blow. He is big strong and aggressive has good movement and a lot of good tools but he flays away and misses with just about everything he throws. Pac avoided nearly all of his wild swings by slipping ducking and shelling up in close. Horn landed very few clean shots from especially from range. He must have the lowest connect rate of any title holder in history and you could count on two hands the number of clean shots he will hang on Crawford even if he lasts the distance. He is simply an inaccurate puncher.

 

Well said. I am sure we have all seen a fighter under perform when faced with an easy beat, supposedly out of there depth opponent and sit there at the end of it with a "what the hell went wrong" look on their faces.

I like horn and that's not to disrespect his ability but if current pacquiao had him near getting tko' d i think Crawford gets him out

It's funny how your being asked to be man enough to admit your wrong if Horn loses against Crawford, yet after Horn beat Pacquio fair and square like you had predicted there was nothing but complaining and excuses from those picking Pacquio to win.

Before the Pacquio fight there was plenty of people saying Horn was no chance and didn't belong in the same ring just like they are about this upcoming Crawford fight, including many of those same people lol.

Great thread, but, as both of us do so frequently, you've equipped an RPG-7 where a fly-swatter might've sufficed: the only people calling Horn "sloppy" or "devoid of skill" are lowest-common-denominator Pac fanatics still butthurt & in denial about the decision.

 

I think he gets blasted early mate. Horn's chin is not very good IMO Pac had him out in that 9th round and Pac isn't as accurate as he used to be and doesn't follow through on his shots anymore. Crawford is accurate and I think that he will land clean on Horn's chin early dropping him multiple times for a 3rd round stoppage.

When you watch Pac haemorrhage rounds against Matthysse you're going to have a new retrospective appreciation for Horn's performance, once you get past those "Pac still has a ton left" and "Horn is a bum" denial humps ...unless you don't have a shred of honesty in you.
