This content is protected I'm the champion. You've got to recognize that. My strongest hand is my right hand. You see his eye? I'm going to detach his retina -Ricardo Mayorga
I love Mayorga, but am very confident that he will be knocked out tonight. Maybe not in four rounds like Steward says, but knocked out, nonetheless. Cotto KO 6 is my guess.
Mayorga never fails to entertain. But something tells me he better be well prepared and watch out for Cottos body shots tonight,i have a feeling Stuart has been watching Trinidads beating of Mayorga more carefully then another Mayorga fight.
steward is becoming delusional in his older age. he recently said that cotto now reminds him of a young SRL. that's an all-time classic. and no, cotto's left hook should never be mistaken for that of Tito's. Tito carried his power all the way to 160. cotto, arguably lost most of his at 147. now after three brutal wars in two years in which two of them he was convincingly beaten down, one has to wonder what cotto actually has left... at 154 no less.
Haha. I am on board, no doubt about it. I am a Cotto fan as well, but Mayorga is such a character that I root for him no matter who his opponent is. And contrary to what people say, Mayorga was a serious fighter at welterweight. He was no clown or whatever people say. He ran through an undefeated Andrew Lewis and more impressively, an undefeated Vernon Forrest. Then he won a close decision over Forrest in their rematch. I stand firm that he won the Spinks fight, even with the point deductions. He was a true champion at welterweight.
:good Agreed 100% Mosley became a mega star by beating the P4P champ in DLH, Forrest became P4P #1 by beating the new P4P#1 Mosley, and Mayorga destroyed Forrest and then beat him in 12! At 147, Mayorga was the real deal. And imo, even with the point deductions, Mayorga clearly beats Cory Stinks, but it was a Don King production and fromthe beginning it was evident King wanted Spinks to win.
