Seeing as he is about to retire, can we please honour his legendary career with your favourite moments in this thread.

That was a flipant posting of a very obvious ko granted, however that is one of mine and many others overriding memories of Hatton and not fighting Witter. Of course he had many great moments in his career, and some great wins.

As for Brook, at 23 he has he skills and potential to eclipse Hatton. Although he is in a tough division realistically the top guys are not going to fight him so i can see him winning a title and being a multi weight champ.

Meant more the below 3 'elite' wont fight as in why would they when they have the pick of fighters from 140-154 and not interested in titles only money and status. I wasnt saying they were ducking him........ yet:hey

    Mosley
    Pacquiao
    Mayweather
    Cotto

As for the others i would pick Brook over Judah / Collazo now and maybe even Clotty. I think within a year Berto would be a good match up.

    Berto
    Clottey
    Collazo
    Judah

Margarito is a cheating **** so dont consider him a boxer :deal

hes my joint favourite fighter of all time, got me back into in a big way in the late 90s after i stopped closely following boxing for awhile, must've seen him fight live at least a dozen times, watched every fight hes had from thaxton-pacquiao as it happened,he gave us some great memories & took british boxing to level its arguably not been to before,a true british legend, who will be missed.

    ps:he'd have hammered witter.

Ricky Hatton got me into Boxing. Great fighter, great nights. May not have been the best boxer ever but he was an exciting fighter. At least he went to fight Pacquaio, unlike Clottey...although it would have been nice to see him last a few more rounds!

    Cheers Ricky

PS. Hatton would have destroyed Witter and have him leaving the ring in tears.
