Some of the hate he gets, whether in be on internet boards, Arena booing etc is getting to me. I find it disgusting and its a slap in the face to boxing fans. I dont even particularly like the guy as a fighter..but i found it uncomfortable listening to the hateful booing he was getting(theres playfull booing/this wasnt it), even when he won!. The guy is not a convicted ****** or something like that. He hasnt cheated. So where is all this stupid hate coming from? Because as a professional he hasnt been all that good? People even have the nerve to not like him saying hes going to be HW world champ???? are you serious!...if thats his dream who are you to tell him to stop.

Anyway rant over. I felt like like i should get this off my chest. We follow boxing, not some fake sport where lives cant be risked and ruined. PEACE

I completely agree:good. Personally, I couldn't be more chuffed that the bloke won tonight- he took a huge risk and knew the consequences of coming up short would be public humiliation. How anyone can call the bloke a 'coward' is beyond me. I hope he does achieve his dreams as there are a lot of idiots out there who want him to fail as it somehow makes them feel better about themselves. Come on, Audley- follow your dreams:good.

Well the general consensus is that he's a coward and a fraud. He took a huge pay cheque from the TV licence payers with the promise of "i'll be world heavyweight champion within 2 years" ? 8 years later he's fighting nobodies and hasbeens in a cheap version of the "contender".Each to there own ,but i think the guy is a joke.

I detest the booing of any fighter but Audley's done himself no favours in the past.
Fans find it hard enough to put up wi all the bull**** from promoters an pr men,but when deluded crap repeatedly comes from a fighters own mouth?
Well done tonight by the way Audley.

we all knew he had the tools, and the poential to be a Top Elite Fighter, but he blew it! He kept running his mouth and it got him no where! Now he wins this little tourney, another chance is now made, OK, im good with that and i hope he breaks into the mould of using his ability to establish some threat to a world class fighter!
    37 yrs old and counting..
lets see where he goes from here?

anyways, where does he go, promotion wise?

His first stop has to be British title. He has the profile to move straight onto a World title shot from there. If Haye beats Valuev and Audley wins the British title it would make sense for him to be Haye's first defence, summer 2010, O2 arena.

Audley did himself proud imo tonight, I was worried in that final...but he knew all along what he could do. He hasn't helped himself and people can boo if they like although i believe any man that gets in that ring deserves to be applauded. He knows the score now and he shut the haters up for tonight.

He's done wrong in the past...what bothers me sometimes is we can cheer a convicted ****** or drug dealer then a guy that messes up and has a chip on shoulder i see booing and hate....suppose it's all path of the course.

Where did Ovil McKensie go from wining the last one? No where? Why? He, more than Audley, deserved something out of this tourney! What do you think Mr Hearn!!!!

Audley doesnt deserve another shot, he is and always was a ****ing bore to watch. Ovil McKensie, my man, you brother are 100% more deserving than Fraudley. Go on my son!!

Like I posted in the other thread.....................................

"Why is it that people always give HArrison this title of being 'Bad for Boxing' ??

He won the Olympic gold medal FFS

Yes the BBC have taken a big step backwards in terms of publicising the sport and yes they paid him a hell of a lot of money and he didn't deliver.

BUT.......... I doubt he didn't deliver on purpose. It would have been far more beneficial FOR HIM to have won. He seems a nice guy outside of the ring and that so I have no personal problem with him. He is CERTAINLY NOT a bad advert for the sport. Lads like Gomez and that get cult followings when he is a tosser yet nobody seems to think he's a bad advert for the game, despite what he gets up to outside of the ring. What about Scott HArrison ? Why was he never classed a bad advert for the sport ?? Using his phsyical advantages and boxing skills to put it about women ? Is that a good advert for Boxing ? Same with Magee, same with Gatti (who I loved BTW), same with Floyd JNR, SNR and uncle ! "

Read the 'held back and sabotaged' thread and you might understand.

Given th talent he had he has failed epically. He has nobody to blame but himself, but Audley always blames something else.
