    The right hook with 9 seconds left in the 5th round does not land. It's not even close.

    Yes... so why would a boxer who has agreed to lose the fight on purpose go down from a punch that didn't land? All that would do is draw suspicion. He would wait until a decent shot landed before taking a dive. The fact he went down from a breath of air suggests he lost heart or needed a moment out of the firing line, it doesn't help you with your theory the fight was staged. He got clipped with enough legit punches to go down whenever he chose, yet he waited until a punch missed? That makes no sense. The fight wasn't rigged...

    It's good you brought it up.

    Because Pacquiao has been working with Nonito Donaire Sr. The hook man. Pacquiao right hook got pop behind them more than usual. WHY? Donaire Sr. He was working with Pacquiao.

    It's an old pro's tactic. SRL used it later in his career. Sometimes the best place to go is on your knee.

    Ah but the turbulence wave which it created hit Matthyse with he force of a thousand punches. It's a miracle his head was not knocked clean off his shoulders.

    Instead of starting a thread that makes you look stupid about it, go to YouTube, watch the fight, set settings to 0.25 speed and you can very clearly see it land, check different angles. It lands right on the temple and you can see Matthysse’s head bounce off it.

    Exactly...for instance if Bruno had taken a knee when Lewis was covering his eyes/holding & battering him along the ropes the outcome may have been different. Having said that it didn't work for Hatton in the Paq fight Lol.

    It was a big farce to get some interest in pac after being mauled and losing to horn.

    @Hi-Tek-Lomo

    I really think you're just very concerned about Lomachenko fighting Pacquiao.

    I think you're very concerned that Pacquiao might be faster w/ more pop if they fight at 138-140.

    You're preparing arguments for Lomachenko not fighting Pacquiao.

    Pacquiao definitely still has some fight in him, no where near shot, but yes Matthyse had little to offer.
    The basic fight fan thinks Mathysse can punch that he's a destroyer type, but those type fighters are easy pickings for a fighter as physically talented as Pacquiao is.
    The Cerebral fighter is what will always give Pacquiao problems, even Jeff Horn used smarts to nullify a lot of what Pacquiao could do by getting really up close, tieing up and smothering Pacquiao's punches.
    Matthysse was in Pacquiao's range all night long, didn't do anything to try to close the gap and make it uncomfortable for Pac, even though he looked to be the bigger fighter.

    This fight wasn't rigged, Matthysse just isn't and was never at that level.
