Very interesting. It appears that Haye is being excused for that snooze fest because it was "the right way to win". Fair enough then. Can we then presume that Mayweather and Wlad are using the wrong way? Discuss.
Haye is catching alot of **** for the way he fought last night more so than getting credit from what I have been reading, there is a right way to win when your the smaller man true, just as Floyd did with Oscar there is a right way to win a fight. When its the other way around you have no excuse especially when you drop a man who is two divisons heavier than he should be at the age of 36 and your the bigger man there is no excuse for not finishing there.... being the bigger man..
Why? What if you are the bigger man but know you will get KOED if you engage. Is it not then important to avoid a KO?
Marquez was not going to knock out Floyd everybody knew that, it was clear from when Floyd dropped him that Floyd had the fight won then and there, but did not even attempt to finish did not even take the slightest risk to go home early. And some Floyd fans round here say Floyd didnt want to hurt him and just coasted the rest of the ****ing fight:roll: There is a right way to win and a wrong way to win..... you know this... using last nights fight doesnt help with your agenda here.
This thread is about that. Why did Haye choose the right way whilst Wlad is choosing the wrong way? In boxing you can't get KOED. If you do you will lose the fight.
There are expectations from the fans, everybody knows this especially when your the bigger man with that kind of Kayo ratio, if you want to be called the champion you have an obligation to those who basicly make sure you earn a nice paycheck. if you do not like being critisized for your performance perhaps you should try something else, because if anything when fans are paying 1200 dollars to see you fight, they have a right to get what they are paying to see.... Boxing didnt become this big due to the hit and dont get hit style, boxing got this big becuase of fighters who were willing to take risk to give the fans what they want to see, and what do fans usally like? Knock outs, Fans love to see high volume work rates, with plenty of contact..... if that is something you just dont have in you to give, look for another line of work especially if you dont want to hear people talking **** due to your saftey first style of fighting.
You shouldn't measure other people by your own low standards. Not everyone needs to hate another fighter. It's funny cause I'm a massive Haye fan who loves Mayweather and has a lot of time for Wlad.
atsch Dear emotional ***gots. Please have a cold shower, come back and then answer the question. Thanks.
It's just the haters working their magic. He is one big mothafugga, how is Haye suppose to fight him, by standing there and trade with him? Stupid.
I predict a straightjacket in your near future. You asked people to discuss it now your demanding an answer that agrees with your opinion. Can you not see the problem here?
A fighter has every right to fight to his own strengths. Why jeopardize your chances by giving the opponent what he wants? It's called being smart. Something Haye demonstrated very well last night. However, I do get annoyed when fighters lay claim to things which is pure bull****. For example Haye's excuse for not knocking Valuev out. Come on dude, we all know the reason you didn't pursue a more aggressive approach, was because you didn't wanna risk getting caught. Which of course is perfectly fine. Just don't lie about it. Another example (in which Bazooka above has touched upon) is Mayweather's claims of being exciting and giving the fans what they want. Ahhh lay off the bull**** Floyd, you're a safety first fighter who prefers to win with a seat belt on. The Marquez fight being a perfect example. Here you have a dude that's 2 divisions smaller than you and has no chance in hell of even hurting you. You also dropped him in the second, yet you chose not to go for the kill and treat the fans to a stoppage.
It ain't an answer, it is a cliche. I don't want to hear from people who do not judge, I want to hear from those who do. Same happens when a question is made about generalizations: "I'm American and I like British fighters!". Well then, this thread ain't about you.
To tell ya the truth, I think Haye was protecting that china chin of his. That hand excuse, I think was bs. Though, I could be wrong.
