I always thought round of the years would be back and forth action not a one sided beating?

 

had to laugh earlier on today. Over at the scene Old Man Peterson (PWilly's Trainer) Claims that Williams was in control of the bout and that Sergio threw a fluke punch.

So that choice for KO of the year cannot be right atsch :rofl

 

I loved round 12 in Froch-Kessler. Khan-Maidana Round 10 wasn't competitive it was just gripping because it was like a killer stalking his prey in a film. Wouldn't call it round of the year...IMO.

 

Williams and Peterson are a pair of delusional cocks. For years I've listened to them bleating about how Williams has been avoided and how no one gives them a chance. They then proceeded to insult Sergio Martinez in every way in the rematch then, when Sergio knocks Paul's overrated ass out, they complain that it was a 'lucky shot'.

All you need to look at is how the shot landed - perfect position, leverage, angle. That wasn't lucky in any way, shape or form: Sergio had been looking for that shot for the entire time it lasted. He'd thrown a similar shot four times already.

I really hate Williams. From his chicken-wing punches to his prima-donna attitude. **** him.

I also don't agree with Round of the Year, since I'd have gone for round three of Marquez-Katsidis.

From a technical point of view, Paul Williams is (or was) one the worst fighters at World level currently. A total fraud and American hype-job. He's just awkward because of his frame, nothing else. I knew Maravilla would knock his head off.

 

That's a good shout, the knockdown and the onslaught from Kats and then a masterful comeback from Marquez with his sublime accuracy and will to win. That was a really classy round IMO and would be far more deserving then a fighter being chased around a ring on auto pilot.

 

id have Martinez - Muniga round 3 as round of the year

 

they got event of the year right

 

Baas vs. Romero as the upset of the year.

Lopez vs. Concepcion round 1 or Mayweather vs. Mosley round 2 as the ROTY.

Everything else is pretty solid.

 

Have to say after the 1st round it was only a matter of time before Martinez put him down with that shot. Landed it an unbelievable amount of times in those two round and Williams done nothing about it.

Daniel Estrada vs Angel Alirio Rivero- fight of the year
