I actually don't rate him very highly at all , but he's in there at 1 and Wilder at 2.
Im just going by the official ring ratings. Holyfield dropped just one place after he lost to Lewis. Wlad should have to fight his way back into contention in my view.

Fury gave a statement saying he was no longer able to defend his championship but he hopes to challenge for it is he returns.

It was on the TBRB website.

Then didn't the line end with Tunney?

Is Pacquaio still WW champion now?

He won't be the first champ to give up his claim and fight for it again soon after.

Pacquaio was WW champ, he retired but came back almost immediately.

The only fair way to do it is to treat the announcements as gospel and deal with whatever happens when it happens.

Fury says he can no longer defend his championship is a vacation imo and the opinion of the TBRB. The next two available contenders for now are Wlad and Povetkin. Do I necessarily agree with everything they do? No but I am willing to bow down to their opinion because it's more educated than my own.

He was gifted his Olympic medal on home town decisions. Gifted a title v a poor fighter who knew he hit the jackpot by winning a vacant title on a default and wanted to cash out ASAP. And gifted huge PPV cash on nothing but hype on beating up scrubs.

If AJ beats Molina then beats Wlad then I'll give him the #1. Right now it's about who you're beating in the top 5 in the heavyweight division when talking about the #1 spot.
