In which month did all those guys appear together in the 1970s?

No offense, but every Ring heavyweight rating in the 1970s included someone that would raise an eyebrow, like Gregorio Peralta, Jose Luis Garcia, Chuck Wepner, Randy Neumann, Johnny Boudreaux, Stan Ward, Howard Smith, Domingo D'Elia, Alfredo Evanglista ... etc.

The current top 10 ratings is a solid list. We could look back on that top 10 years from now and find five Hall of Famers in that single top 10.

The worst entry may be Oscar Rivas. And he could easily be replaced by a Joyce. But the Ring is notoriously slow about moving fighters in and out.

Overall, an excellent top 10 right now.

He’s not overrated. He’s written off. He was a solid fighter with a strong am background. Scott got robbed against him with the draw though, and I don’t use the term loosely.

Otto Wallin over Rivas and Joyce over Ortiz.
