    Very interesting.

Dunphy sure as Hell saw a lot of fights but his prediction for Armstrong Vs Duran is terrible.

Great to see Mustafa's pick for Saad Vs Galindez :yep

Mental. Some people are still caught up in the Cerdan mystique now!

We've seen footage of him, he goes at Marv' like he did shot Zale and he gets merc'd.

After he gets pulled by his corner in the tenth, Marvin makes Cerdan go back to the dressing room and bring him naked pictures of his wife.

I think about 85% of these are accurate and very fair. However, you're always going to get some strange ones.

LaMotta fought Cerdan, which would, I think, give him some credibility in assessing his ability beyond being "caught up in the mystique."

Still not much to go on. Or shot Holman Williams. No one gives a **** for Lytell do they? But Cerdan is more 'glamorous'.

Cerdan still gets grossly overrated, in top tens and was even in Boxing News' Top 100 P4P greats.

Yes, I would say most don't have a good grasp on him.

Look at the year the fight was mooted.

All they had to go on was Pea being dropped by Uncle Rog'. Not the durability he later displayed up at welter and junior middle.

That's not what I meant. I've watched the other available footage of Cerdan as well. Regardless of the choice of tactics, I can see he simply isn't as good as Marvin Hagler.

You seriously think the first Antufermo fight was a draw?

Roldan was hardly Margarito in his approach was he? He was a lummox of an Argie stylist granted, but this kinda' result means little considering I didn't say Hagler would destroy him in so many rounds. I don't see a stoppage in this fight at all.

I'm not saying Cerdan wasn't brilliant either. He just isn't a great top tier middleweight like Marv' is, and doesn't seem to have any stylistic advantage. It's a no-brainer, Hagler would kick his ass, and beat Les Darcy as well.
