Which is why most major PPV's have featured small fighters in recent years. The small men are the biggest stars right now.
They have about as much credibility as you or I. And that goes with every other boxing publication and columnist out there. They have opinions, doesn't make those opinions any more important than anyone elses. No-one is forced to agree with anything they say.
PW should be in but im still doubt about Dawson , yes his got great skill and speed but im not sold to see him in the top 10 p4p yet!
So the guy that got beat by Quintana should be in but the guy that is undefeated and has beat quality fighters like Johnson,Adamek and Tarver twice shouldnt i cant see the logic in that.
Do you think they WANT that? I mean...look at the talent at MW, LHW and HW and tell me they really have much of a choice right now
Well, the list is always been flawed...look at Winky's prolonged stay despite a draw and a loss on his record and a year of inactivity to boot.
I'd say the affiliation to Golden Boy promotions gives them less credibility than other publications. Their heritage probably gives them more respect. But credibility is different in my book
Couldnt argue if someone put Chad in their Top 10, he has a clear win over a 2 weight champ and the current man at 200lbs, has won 2 out of the 4 belts available to him at some point at 175 and has said on more than 1 occasion he will even go DOWN a weight to 168 to get a big fight. A rare thing. And he's only 26. Thats not bad P4P material. Isnt his fault he is a terrible risk/reward fight for Hopkins the now or Calzaghe before he retired.
yea i dont get that about Rafa and even Juan MA marquez either like when he lost to Pac and ppl still had him number two or 3 p4p. THEY LOST! yes they were in great fights and they were debateable... but THEY LOST! How did Floyd and Pac become P4P the best...BY WINNING!
Williams im a little bit more harsh on but only because i think if he had stayed at 147 he couldnt have been ignored for much longer. he's well thought of by HBO and would have been put in sooner rather than later with all the big names down that end of the weights. Too big a presence to continue to ignore. Chad doesnt have that option. He's beaten the best above him. The best below him is being raped by a promoter hell bent on ****ing his career up, and the best at 160 havent even fought each other yet, and Pavlik isnt going to be coming back to 170+ anytime soon anyway.
