I'll put Wilder in the top 10 when he becomes undisputed. In due time.

Instead of personal attacks why don't you simply engage in civil debate?

I struggle to think people who knew boxing well enough would've picked tiny mediocre LW version of Gamboa to beat a natural welterweight in Crawford who has elite skill.
Postol was known as a good fighter and the man at 140 pretty much. I think he was favoured to beat Garcia.
Overall because of his skill/ability and his performances over some C and B class fighters overall (with a top name in Postol), he deserves his position.
Golovkin had an even fight with an elite fighter. He should be in the P4P list.

Ionoue beat 108 lb champ Adrian Hernandez in his 6th bout, and long-time 115 champ and one of the better fighters of the last 20 years Omar Narvaez in his 8th. While his last four opponents have only very good not great his record over the last 3 years is just as good as Crawford's. Anyway, p4p isn't about record.

Rigo, he's been inactive and off the radar the last couple years. But when after a Rigo match have we questioned whther he won or lost? Too many other supposedly top fighters are losing or scraping by close fights, but Rigo keeps on dominating.

And there will likely be more with similar results. That's all I could find off hand.

Let's not get caught up a semantic debate. The point being is that the scorecards of the overwhelming majority of the press and observers conflict with the officials. In the eyes of the majority, Kovalev and Roman outperformed their opponents and were clear victors. I don't believe their standing should be effected by controversial judging.

If you feel Gonzalez was a clear victor, as I do, his standing as a pound for pound fighter is free of blemish. Pound for Pound is about perception.

Why on earth would someone default every close round to Ward? Yeah, if you give Ward all the close rounds, he edges it 7-5 ....a one point win after the knockdown. The official judges didn't even do that, they just gave him a near shut out after round 5 without rhyme or reason.

Now give all the close rounds to Kovalev for the same reason you would give all the close rounds to Ward...just because, we are talking a 9-3 fight with a knockdown. A dominant win.

11 was the most clear Ward round in the fight.
12 is one of 4 arguable rounds in my book.

    Meh
Robberies shouldnt affect the list. I think Gonzalez deserved the nod and definitely should be up there.

Kovalev dominated Ward. This is just boxing politics and another nail in the coffin for the sport.

You let this gargantuan head mofo headbutt, elbow, tackle and grapple his way to #1 because he is the last American hero? UFC will take over soon thanks to these greedy scum.

I rate Rigo very highly but when your as inactive as he is and your best win was 5 years ago I just can't put you near the top. I know the top guys in his division ducked him but he should of did what GGG did and just fight the next available guy, he really is one of the most ducked guys in recent history but he hasn't helped the situation either.

Inoue is a prodigy but I'm sorry beating a 38 year old past it Naevarez and Adrian Hernandez who has not one notable win on his record does nothing for me. The fact you can compare Inoue record to Crawford is a joke, not one undefeated fighter on his record, never gone to a champions back yard to take a title, never beaten even a top 3 guy in his division lol.

Who cares what the scores of the majority is, they both lost so it does affect their standing. You don't have to agree with Ring's list but don't act you can't understand why they put Ward and Kovalev in the top 2.

I gave Ward 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, and that is why I said if someone gives Ward the close rounds because they think he won it then you have a closer fight than you have it.

The Ring really was The Bible of Boxing when Nat Fleischer owned it It was the most respected boxing
publication on the 'planet. Sadly when Oscar & GBP took it over cleaned house ?? got rid of all the good writers . The Ring lost all credibility Just look at their #1 P4P pick Andre Ward. Ward has fought only ONE top ranked fighter, Sergey Kovalev, in the last SIX YEARS!!!! The majority of boxing people writers & fans actually thought he got a gift & that he actually lost that fight. To me that is LUDICROUS !!
